@ComocosonoEWL Hi! Sorry to be a bother, but I'm hoping to eventually get some rats and i want to properly educate myself. You say wheels and roaming balls make rats feel trapped, and most wont use them. So whats your opinion on the saucer style wheels? Personally i dont think i would use a classic wheel for rats(and certainly not roaming balls either), just based on everything ive heard. But i havent heard much about the saucer spinners, so im wondering what people think about them.

@@eliispihlak8765 Shadow the Rat videos on you tube has good info. Also Debbie Ducommon. Rats are opportunistic scavenger omnivores and eat the same home made healthy meals humans eat. Fresh Pet is a refrigerated moist dog food minimally processed for a great base feed. Dried processed lab blocks or any processed feeds are high in chemicals and preservatives. Fresh spoils fast for a reason, it's full of nutrients not chemicals. If you try Fresh Pet, freeze the extra, it spoils fast and remember rats can't vomit so make changes slow. Avoid Glyphosate and GMOs. Feed organic fruit and veggies to do this. Look for the 9 as the first number of the bar code.

Hey! Love the rat videos, idk if someone already mentioned it but using rags like that can be a bit dangerous because of how rats like to shred. I've heard of rats getting choked, losing toes, ect from those kinds of rags! :x What I use to do was either buy baby blankets (small like 24x24 fleece) from the dollar tree or go to a craft store and buy scrap fabric. :) Both of which work great! Also, you can make extra hammocks or hanging tubes out of cloth table mats. :) Also, you might want to put the sharp bits of the zip ties outside the cage or file them they can be pretty sharp. :x

Unfortunately I had to get rid of her because my sister always has to outdo me and she bought two more females, and didn’t know that one was pregnant. She ended up with two pissy females and 14 babies, never had a properly cleaned cage and she got ringworm, so all the rats had to go, my sweet girl included :/

What size is the wheel? It could be too small? If their backs arch when they are in it, it’s too small.. try a bigger one or look for a large flying saucer
