Look under the fuse box. There is a group of wire laying on the ABS module thats more then likely where you're problem is. I run into it a lot.

I drove it to work today. My truck did the no bus jig, I plugged it in and it rocks. My gas gauge goes empty and my DTE on upper display says SC for short, and the idle is high, but hey frak it. Im gonna get yet another reman PCM and re route it inside the fender wall soon. WHEEW it gets me to work!!

I am a mechanic. I specialize in electric repairs on cars. I am super good at no bus communication problems... First off, you need to own a scope to fix bus problems.. Secondly, you need to get a computer data lines wiring diagram. So you hook up your scope to what is known as the pci data line. You should see a 0-7 volt square wave with just key on. If the waveform looks bad or deranged, you have a problem as i am guessing yours does. Next step is to unplug each module one at a time on the pci bus line until the square wave actually looks like a normal square wave. Once the module is disconnected for example the abs or whatever is on the diagram, the waveform returns to normal and your car as good as new. Final step is to replace whatever the module was that brought down the pci bus and clear codes. It is only difficult if you do not know what you are doing

Firstly I am an IT professional and I know my way around a prober and a scope second I have already done all of that man I have taken it to professionals in the Mopar field who are my family members and friends and they couldn’t figure it out I have re-grounded every wire and opened up several PCM‘s and re-soldered connections this is a curse of the Dodge Durango. The irony of all of this is that when I finally fixed it the engine blew.

You definitely would’ve come in handy six months ago. I have the actual Dealership manuals I have traced every wire. I’m debating if I scrap this thing or drop another motor in it they could probably make a good plow truck with all the work that I’ve done to it but it stranded in Michigan on the family property and I think I just rather shoot the shit out of it and then scrap it. Thanks for your insight tho bro, Maybe you could help out some of the thousands of people that've watched this video In hopes of fixing their truck.

I don’t think you’re getting the problem man. The problem was with the 5vlt reference blowing. There are no codes. It’s an issue with the wiring harness or one of the 5 V sensors or one of the grounds or a combination of all or the PCM it’s a huge fucking mess and every mechanic and dealership professional that itouched this truck failed. I drove around back feeding this thing for three years And while I never claimed to be a mechanic it sure turned me into one LOL.

Mark Dykstra i guarantee i could fix it. I dont care if you have had it to specialists. I have a ton of experience fixing can problems. If you scope that bus line correctly you sill see the wave pattern as i said if its working good. Yours is not. So you unplug the modules one at a time until the waveform is good. Once the module that brought down the bus is disconnected, the bus will come back up to proper wave form. Now you have isolated the module. Next step is to check powet and grounds at the isolated module by loading the circuit. A load pro or test light is best in this instance. If all powers and grounds are good at this module, and the communication line at the module is good at the module, then we have a problem with this module. If its the ecu, then plug it back in and see if you have a 5volt ref. If you dont, time to get engine performance diagram and see what the computer is giving 5volts to. Next unplug one at a time each 5volt sensor while monitoring the 5volt references with a volt meter. When the shorted sensor is disconnected, the 5volt ref will return and you can now communicate with modules. I have fixed millions of can bus problems. I would fix yours as well. There are great videos of people on youtube that know how to properly do this. Unfortunately, you are taking your car to places that don’t understand how to properly diagnose this. It takes practice and understanding of the system

Mark Dykstra thats fine that you are an it professional and your family couldn’t figure it out. That doesnt mean i couldnt. I always figure out can bus problems. Been doing it for years... i dont know how much your family knows about bus problems... they are hard, but i have never had one beat me ever

It may not be the regulator but if whatever it takes to make it work. I just repaired a truck by pulling connectors to the computer, spraying WD-40/contact cleaner inside the connectors and then blowing them out with a compressor to get all the junk out. I know it was the connectors on the computer because when I pushed very lightly on any of them the engine would either stutter or completely shut off. The connectors _can_ get dirty over time and can corrode and people tend not to think about the connectors themselves as being a point of failure but they are more likely to fail than the computer or regulator. Sometimes just unplugging them and plugging them back in a few times solves the problem but a little WD-40/Contact cleaner in the connectors won't hurt and as long as you blow most of it out you won't have junk build up in them.

@@raulgachuz9561 any fluid leaks? I replaced steering pump hoses and fixed my antifreeze leak, drove all winter and still hasnt no bus'd in 7 months. If not, you have to test every sensor for 5vt and then wait for it to die, and quickly test all again to find the failure before it resets, which is fucking forever, so youl have time. Otherwise, do what I did , if you dont car about the truck and just want it to run.

Don't do the diode thing. You just don't know what you are doing..... Get a scope and attach it to pci bus using correct wiring diagrams.....
