Can you replace the OEM spoiler with a fixed aftermkt. spoiler?

From what I understand, yes. Some have done this. I like the factory setup, as long as it works. Thank goodness for the extended warranty I bought.

@@protectandswerveHow did you get the aftermarket warranty company to replace it? Mine just said no.

@@jeffrakunas663 which company are you using? I just took it to my local Porsche dealer and since I have the aftermarket warranty, they work very well with Fidelity and they inspected the job and agreed to pay. That’s why I highly recommend Fidelity especially the platinum. I’ve had two of them and they’ve never not paid a claim that was legit.

@@protectandswerve at this point I’m thinking about disconnecting it and having it coded out, but not sure if that will make the rear wing not work

Count me in, I'm having issues myself. It works if I manually operate it but not if I accelerate hard in regular driving with the spoilers down. And as soon as it errors, it takes two full key events to get it to work again with the button.

It's funny how many people have this issue but not everyone has the same exact issues...My car, once the code Popped, would not work the spoilers at all until I pulled the battery cable to clear the code...It'd work perfectly deploying them manually but soon as I hit 78 mph, the code would pop and the spoilers would retract and never work again until code cleared. Good luck with yours man.

@@protectandswerve Hi pal, did you ever fix this? Mine is the exact same as yours... You're the first person i found with the same scenario as me so im a little bit stumped! Thanks

@@SKATE3andMINECRAFT I did get it fixed. According to Hennessey Porsche, there is / was a sensor in the spoiler assembly (that allegedly can't just be replaced by itself) so the whole assembly had to be replaced. Luckily I have a Fidelity Platinum Warranty and it was covered to the tune of $5400.00. Word is though that some have had success with their vehicles got rid of the code / fault by just having a dealer "Recalibrate" the system. It's frustrating for sure. I hope yours ends up being the cheaper of the options.
