Another thoroughly enjoyable video, thanks Alan. You have very ably captured the results of an obviously massive amount of preparatory work by the SVR as well as the model engineers. The explanatory labels in the workshops added a lot of interest for people like me who are not always very sure of what they are looking at! I too liked the Wharf layout. My favourite sequence has to be Bellerophon arriving at Kidderminster and your indoor shot of Gordon (? ex-LMR) reminded me of when we saw the loco in steam in the early 1980s. Lovely video. Kind regards, Bob.

Thanks Bob. There was indeed a great deal of preparatory work by all at SVR. I was particularly pleased with Bellerophon leaving clouds of grey exhaust when departing Bewdley. Kind regards Alan

Looks like 75069 is just about ready to return back to steam after been out of service right after the 1994 season

Definitely needs a lot more doing before 75069 is back in service. The boiler needs finishing but after that, it just mostly needs to be reassembled.

A dumb question,Alan. What is the purpose of the small "baffle" plates on some engines,on either side at the front? I noticed them just now, on Flying Scotsman. Brilliant info on the levers, and, the procedure.

They are smoke deflectors to help the crew see the line ahead.
