I bought the Pilot Pioneer Auto Chrono from Nordstrom rack earlier this year. It was “brand new” which meant it’s been sitting in a warehouse somewhere since it’s release in 2013. The watch keeps -0/+5 every day. The H31 is phenomenal.

I love that date pusher function - my Sinn with 7750 movement is a real headache to set, very finnicky to deal with the day/date and the clutch has broken once on me already. That pusher and eliminating the day function is a god send.

The turned-sideways 7750 is a great chrono set-up, and rare. Some old Speedy reduced models, the Tudor Fastrider, older Porsche Design... it's an idea that should've caught on by now. A pusher for the date setting is a good trade.

It's so obvious that in the voljoux 775x movement you will have some problems with the date adjustment if you are not doing it correctly (9am/3pm rule). They knew the weakness of this movement, that's why they add a quick set date button. Well, it has been implemented by other brands as well.

@@BruceWilliams I knnnooww... the panda is on my "99% sure I will buy" list for that very reason. @@DMBVR4 Oh that would worry me too. I can tell you I've loved every 7750 that I've tried. Yes, its not the most technically advanced, its thick, and the wobble is pronounced. Beautiful watch, aesthetically one of the prettiest chronos out there IMO. But the lugs and push pins are massive. It definitely feels bigger on the wrist than a 40. And that utensil you have to use to change the date, why?? That is the stupidest thing I've ever seen on a watch and has made me ultimately decide not to buy it. We've all made the mistake of setting our watch on the wrong AM/PM so the date changes at noon instead of midnight. And with this feature we can't just change that on the fly unless we keep that tool on us at all times. A chronograph has three push pins and you couldn't figure out how to utilize ONE to change the date? Idiotic.
