What do you think of this 2 carat brown diamond? Would you have kept it at for that price all those years ago?

When it's a family heirloom, monetary value isn't a factor - not unless something is valued well into six figures. When the value is the same as a second-hand Hyundai, you would have to be in desperate financial circumstances to be thinking of selling.

Brown diamonds are found mostly in Australia. The diamond cartel re named them 'Champagne Diamonds' to improve their sale price.

I had a pendant made in India for my birthday with a 100 ct amethyst and I asked for some small diamonds on the top link but the jewellers father insisted on using a one carat cognac diamond, it was perfect and he gave me such a good price. Of course about 90% of all diamonds go through India.

I noticed the lady standing in the background was in a very old style of dress, so I figured it was an old clip and that’s why his estimate was so low. I wanted to know what the diamonds were set in. Was it platinum or gold?

@irisesinbloom848 it's in British Pounds not Dollars, back when this was filmed it probably equated to around double, so back then £2,500 (pounds Sterling) equals roughly USD $5,000

@@francesivey7811If you have that take it to a museum that deals with Native American artifacts and weapons and see how much they offer. If you don't have proof then it will only be the value of the rifle. If it is genuine ask Sotheby's.
