Thanks for another great video Mike! The beavers seem like they spend a lot of time going somewhere then deciding they don’t want to be there, what’s up with that?

The behaviour you are noticing is part of their scent marking. Beavers go through their territory daily to mark their scent, which they do by placing a little scoop of mud on the shore, or on a rock, then spraying their scent on it and leaving. Other times they may get out of the water just to sniff around and see if any other beavers have left their scent. So it isn’t a case of them, not wanting to be there… Just that they were only there for a very specific purpose that did not take much time.
