The weight is 20 kg. Its is made of birthplywood (1,5 mm). Yes, I have made it. This costs about 1500 €. The height of inside is 80 cm. For me it`s possible to sit in. My length is 173 cm. Naturally it is possible to pull with a normal bicycle Thanks for your interest!

What I find truly visionary is its minimalism lends itself to portability. Camping becomes tedious as we try to carry to much. In this case all he is lugging is shelter, a bed and quite possibly a canteen and a porta-potty. These very few comforts can go a very long way on extended trips. They provide affordability and the freedom to stay longer in areas where larger campers or hotel tourists could not; kudos on seeing through a very bright idea and thank you for sharing it.

Pretty cool item! I built several camper trailors using aluminum foam sandwitch board with incredible results. A weight of under 90 lbs with a window and special vents to size of 12 ft.long and 6 ft tall x 4ft wide. Pulled by my 3 wheel recumbent,it carried 600lbs or more! The small ones can weigh under 40 lbs and do much as yours does. Spent several years living in these designs. Most law enforcement types will move you around and harass you when traveling especially if your intending to camp.

To the builder of this bike trailer, I commend YOU as a true individual. You are a pioneer, creating unique custom solutions and enjoying the fruits of your labor. YOU are the kind of pack leader we should all be. YOU would never be manipulated by health insurance to become a barista or WalMart greeter because YOU have a brain. Thank you for putting good stuff on youtube!

Very good and clean design. I've made very large campers in the past and it's true about being bothered by cops and unfriendly people. I lived for years in this way so I know how risky this is. All I can say is keep it very clean and never be caught in highly populated areas at night!

I think it would also be feasible to build a trailer with two 4x8 foot sheets of aluminum, with a sheet of plywood bolted solidly to any sort of axle but in a way that the plywood serves as a leaf spring while you're rolling. I'm thinking, for urban living without paying rent; so, it would be a bit taller and wider, enough to sit up.

It's like a really really heavy tent! Perfect for long bike trips, especially with a lot of hills.... Seriously, when add up all the design needs for this situation, how are you going to beat a light-weight tent? About the only pros I see among a sea of cons, is that you don't have to pack up a wet tent and it might be a bit warmer. However, if it is rainy, you will be soaked on the bike anyway and you can always bring a better sleeping bag.

Nice work in making this. With people suggesting a tent perhaps a hybrid between that and your concept would be ideal? Hows this- you still have the same base design with the mattress but it's flat. Then when you want to use it the top half is like a tent and folds out to make your internal space. Either way I still like it

It's a good idea and would be great for camping or long-distance riding (500+km). But I see two problems with it: 1) It needs a lengthwise side opening. The end opening isn't very convenient, not to mention too easy for assholes to cause the rider problems (see #2). 2) The top or the frame, should include some means for locking the bike to the trailer. It would be nice to live in a civilized world without vandals and thieves, but too many assholes see cyclists as easy targets. .
