I've listened to this song numerous times. The country stations in the United States would not play this song that's how far left our country is gone. Used to be country was at least centre-right not anymore. The first several times I listen to it it made me cry now seeing you a Brit reacting the same way I cried all over again. The only thing that keeps us going is a strong faith in God he has a plan I pray his plan for our country is to make a comeback. Seeing you react to this has given me encouragement. Aaron makes a ton of good songs, just like this one. “Lost and Lonely”, “Granddaddy’s Gun”, “Massachusetts,” “Whiskey and You” .. just to name a few. His voice is amazing, even better in person. He is a local guy (Massachusetts) and it’s awesome to see him sing the way he thinks , even when most of our home state doesn’t see it that way. Now about this song, it definitely hits you in the feels. He speaks the truth in the song, and I think that’s what connects to me and a lot of other Americans (and other countries, like yourself!) It’s just a crazy time we are living in and it’s nice to hear songs from an artist that speaks the way we think.
