Question for Cast & Crew: John often says he adds essentially nothing to the filmmaking process, even when he is an executive producer. What do you think is the most important way in which he is wrong? What is your favorite part about having him on set? The story of how I became aware of you is pretty fun but I think a lot of people have similar stories. To be short, I knew you as three different people before realising you were only one person. The first john green I knew was when I was forced a poorly french overdubbed version of the fault in our stars movie in my religion class in freshman year. I was a stupid teenager that got forced to watch it, and knew that the girls loved it. Sadly, I was not able to appreciate it back then. Later, after my final year of high school in Belgium, I spent a gap year in a high school in wisconsin. There I watched Crash Course world history in class, and I absolutely loved it. Finally, about a year ago, I found you on tik tok and thought you were an interesting person. When once you talked about Crash Course on there, I was mind blown that you were the same person, later you talked about the fault in our stars, and I was even more mind blown. I finally read it recently, and oh my gosh how did the 15 year old me not like this story, I was so wrong!

You are two people in the world that make me feel a little happier about being human, and when I can’t feel happy about it I’m at least hopeful. I’ve read books that both of you have written, and they remind me how complex being human really is and crash course has been a place that I go to to get a foundation in a subject that subsequently allows me to dive deeper then I would’ve been able to struggling on my own. I remember you once saying that there was an idea for you to be the corpse that Margo and Q find as children. But that the idea was dropped, I think by you(?), because you felt it would be kind of distracting from the moment. And I thought you cameo in TFIOS was in the extended edition of the movie? Well, in any case, I'll be excited to finally see you in one of your own movies!

can't wait to make enough money one day so I can get one of those coins and support crash course, especially since it helped me learn things I needed to get on the path to make enough money so that I can buy one of those coins and support crash course

The "But also while being normal and not looking into a camera lens" series is perfect. Great job, 19!

John, you may be #19 to the hair and makeup people on set, and may be the crash course guy to people out in the world, but to me you will always be the snack man
