hey guys!
I ran a poll on my instagram a few days ago and many of you said I should make an in depth video of how I make my coffee every morning. So, here's how I do it. You totally don't have to have all of the same stuff I use... I've been working in the coffee industry and have been passionate about coffee for quite a few years so I've accumulated lots of equipment.
What you'll need to make this:
- Coffee (ground medium fine/or on a pour over setting)
- Pour over dripper (mine is a Hario V60)
- Scale or something to weigh and time yourself (I use a Hario V60 drip scale)
- Kettle (preferably a goose neck kettle)
- Vessel (something to catch the coffee)
- Cone/pour over filter (make sure you wet it before adding in your coffee)
- Ice
- Cream (I use half and half)
Starting ice weight: ~ 100 grams
Amount of ground coffee: 25 grams
End water weight: ~ 250 grams (not including ice or ground coffee)
End brew time: ~ 3:00 - 3:15 minutes
Feel free to tweak the ratios, this is just the way I like mine made! If you try to make it, please leave a comment below or reach out to me on Instagram!
Where I learned of this method: www.amazon.com... (It's one of the best books on coffee I've ever read! Give it a read!)
If you're interested in the Hario V60 set I have: www.amazon.com... (I originally bought it at a store called World Market).
Enjoy.
