I want to mention that every state has a different letter that come before the road number. For example if your on a road and see that it's labeled A15, you know you're going to be in Perak. For Johor, they start with J For Malacca they start with M For Negeri Sembilan they start with N For Selangor they start with B For Pahang they start with C For Perak they start with A For Kelantan they start with D For Terengganu they start with T For Penang they start with P For Kedah they start with K For Perlis they start with R For Sarawak they start with Q For Sabah they start with S and A Additionally, in pretty much all mainland states you can find roads starting with E and not all roads are going to have a number before them. It's a very reliable meta for the not so common instances where you know the road number. If any part of this is incorrect please tell me in the comments.

This is so amazing and really useful! The amount of detail that went into this, too... Just insane! I would love it if you could do a video sometime where you play a few games on the Malaysia map and explain the rounds. Only if you have the time of course! And I love pancakes. :D

Pity I'm in no position to award you the Medal of The Most Exalted Order of the Crown of the Realm of Malaysia - if I could I would! Taking a trip there? I think you are well prepared. I'd love to see a conversation between you and a random Malaysian person who hasn't heard of Geoguessr... He'd say "you know, part of Malaysia lies on the island of Borneo, most people don't know that" and you'd say "yes, I've heard that, I believe the two Borneo states have... cities... plants... roads with lines... electricity pole markings..., signs... bins... traffic lights..., street signs, lamp posts... [all metas described in painstaking detail] but correct me if I'm wrong - I haven't spent much time in Malaysia..."

Hey to a fellow Adelaide boy. Two Malaysia things that may be moderately useful. The Arabic looking language is called Jawi. On business frontages it's much more common in the northern mainly Malay states...I've particularly seen it in Kelantan but you can see it on businesses in other states, including more southern, although it's less common in the south than the Malay majority areas. Also the Chinese population is concentrated on the western peninsula, with Penang the only Chinese majority state.

The traditional village house style is also region but not state related (it can be a style used in 1 state or 2/3). Not as relevant as in past because of move to more modern building styles but may be useful to know.

Allow me to chip in a lil bit: should you see any shop signage with Jawi (Arabic) written at the top and having a Chinese characters under it, it's very good chance that you're in Kelantan state (the only state that requires Jawi to be written on shop signage regardless the races of the shop owner)

Also the 'lightbulb' that was mentioned heavily in this video about the black stickers, is actually the logo of the operator of electric supply in Malaysia - Tenaga Nasional Berhad ('TNB' in short).
