He is a real genius. I've never seen him showing any point of weakness so far. this conversation was so challenging for him as a foreign minister but yet he finds his way to answer in the best way possible. As an Iranian who have seen the both side Iran and America, I've found the fact that neither of the countries are completely innocent. I'm so glad that there is a person like him who can communicate with the world in the right way and I hope that one day our politicians would work through stabilizing the relations and I hope the most that all of us find the fact that the world is globalized and we all need to cooperate and respect each other.

I'm no fan of the current regime myself. For the things inside the country, they are doing very poorly and freedom is not at it's finest. Because that is how they can stay on power and rule the people. Yet on the foreign policies they are doing a very good job. showing any weak point from iran can tear it apart. I haven't seen that in the Rouhani's administeration yet. they are all the men of politics. As I mentioned I'm not fan of the regime, I also think that another revolution is wrong. Iran will turn into another Syria and the hardliners will gain voice. These changes will take time and energy through a more peaceful progress. (If people cooperate and really put effort into that.) Thats my opinion though and I know its not perfect. So I respect if someone has different opinion.
@matrez456

What you say is true. Iranian regime is doing all of this so the Saudis won't take over all the power in the region. But about the U.S, the outcome of that is not always a Japan or South Korea. You see that how the Iraq war made everything much worse and complex. Or the 1953 coup which also back fired in the future. Nobody can force freedom to governments and people anymore. As I said the world is globalized and any action has Domino-like outcomes and we are seeing some of them right now.

A country which is only around 250 years old and in its short history slaved millions of people (killed, raped and sold women and the children's of them), invaded, destroyed and sanctioned dozen of nations. A state that racism, discrimination, violence against the minority is supported by its president, only gun crimes kill around 11,000 of its citizens every year. The country that, has very close relationships with some of the most brutal governments, created terrorists and, its weapons kill kids in Yemen comes and lectures a country with thousands of years of culture and dictates them how to have a civilised culture. Projection is not just something we do with negative emotions. We are our baseline for human behaviour. You are talking to this guy as if he's a Westerner. Islam is unimaginable to you people. The idea that Allah has commanded them to be our enemy is too terrifying for you to imagine, so you pretend everything is fine and participate in these dog and pony shows. As someone who has studied the Sunnah (Google it) extensively, I can tell you that jihad is an unambiguous term. Anybody who tells you it means 'personal struggle' is either a liar or an ignoramus. Understand Islam and you will clearly understand why Europe is a disaster. Why North American areas with a ton of Muslims is a disaster. And, obviously, why their countries are the biggest disasters. This is a black and white issue. We are at war.

Mollech Johnson Ibn al-Qayyim said: “Jihaad is of four stages: jihaad al-nafs (striving against the self), jihaad al-shayaateen (striving against the shayaateen or devils), jihaad al-kuffaar(striving against the disbelievers) and jihaad al-munaafiqeen (striving against the hypocrites). Jihaad al-nafs means striving to make oneself learn true guidance, and to follow it after coming to know it, calling others to it, and bearing with patience the difficulties of calling others to Allaah. Jihaad al-Shaytaanmeans striving against him and warding off the doubts and desires that he throws at a person, and the doubts that undermine faith, and striving against the corrupt desires that he tries to inspire in a person. Jihaad against the kuffaar and munaafiqeen is done in the heart and on the tongue, with one’s wealth and oneself. Jihaad against the kuffaar mostly takes the form of physical action, and jihaad against the munaafiqeen mostly takes the form of words… The most perfect of people are those who have completed all the stages of jihaad. People vary in their status before Allaah according to their status in jihaad.” (Zaad al-Ma’aad 3/9-12)

sam samsan I’m not a “mullah apologist” nor do I support the Islamic regime. But u claiming that Iran started the Iran-Iraq war is completely idiotic. Look at the facts, go do ur research instead of swallowing anti-Iranian propaganda. Saddam Hussein saw that Iran was at a weak state from the 1979 revolution that had ensued chaos in Iran and had virtually weakened the Iranian military. He took advantage of this turmoil by launching an invasion on Iran in the hopes of annexing Iran’s territories of Khuzestan and the Arvand rud river, which Arabs now like to call “shatt al-Arab” the same way they’re trying to claim the Persian gulf as the Arabian gulf, disgusting. Iran did NOT initiate the war, Saddam Hussein’s Iraq did. Most if not all Iranians will tell u that despite their opposition towards the Islamic regime, the iraqi’s had no right in invading Iranian territory even if Saddam Hussein’s plan was to topple the Khomeini regime. Do some proper research u cretin.
