"Since we first met, I never wanted to watch anything but the movie of our life together"
Lauren & Ron are such a special couple with such a special story. They met on a film set, lost touch and somehow reconnected a year later through their best friend Elmer.
After covid got in the way of their original destination wedding plans, they chose to celebrate their love on Pender Island with their closest family & friends.
What a beautiful decision that ended up being.
Inherently, almost every wedding has a level of performance. You want to put your best foot forward in front of your family & friends. But I can truly say that Lauren & Ron were so authentically themselves the entire day. They were okay showing us the raw, vulnerable parts as well as the beaming passion they have for each other and everyone around them.
Their child, Remi, was also a large focal point of the film. Interweaving a child into a wedding day brings a completely different element of connection & meaning to a wedding. If watching Lauren breastfeed her baby while getting her hair and makeup done right before walking down the aisle doesn't sum up motherhood, I don't know what does.
Overall, this was probably my favourite wedding in 2022 (if not ever) & I am so incredibly grateful to have been chosen to be a part of it.
A huge shout out to the amazingly talented & caring Megan Glover @meganglovermedia for making the trip out from Ontario in time to shoot this wedding with me.
What a beautiful day!
