2:51:00 The exact reason for the downfall of battlerap

Before PPV, the business model was probably ticket sales, sponsorship, and AdSense (via KZitem). Sponsorship had to have been bulk of the revenue, with ticket sales being a distant second. Ad revenue is probably negligible, but the primary value of KZitem is customer acquisition (for the sponsors and future URL PPV sales). The *ENTIRE* fan base was built from free battles on KZitem. Then came PPV. Then came the mobile app, along with the decision to leave KZitem. Then Caffeine came and went (which for a time replaced KZitem for customer acquisition). And now URL is in limbo because they have no new customer acquisition strategy! Battle rap itself is in limbo because no new leader has emerged on KZitem after URL left.
