High Speed Trains running in the Severn Valley Railway are a rare, unusual and unique sight. On September 27th, a HST charter organised by Modern Railways celebrating it's 60th anniversary along with CrossCountry Trains in turn celebrating 40 years of HST operating the Cross Country mainline route, ran from Leeds to Bridgnorth on the SVR with power cars No. 43184 (in InterCity Executive livery) and 43366 at the helm. The tour also ran to raise funds to support the charity Railway Benefit Fund.
The HST is filmed on the following locations:
Victoria Bridge
Arley Station
Eardington Bank (two locations)
Oldbury Viaduct
Borle Brook
Hagley Station
Its always fun to film HSTs on rare and unusual routes.
