That truck is coming along very nicely. As for the semi casual truck show.. I would love to go, if I wasn't too poor to get there. I will just have to watch the videos you make of it, and be happy with that.

Hello, cool to see the chrome plating again. I worked in the jewelry sector for 10 years and also gold and silver plated there, which is basically the same thing about the job. Also cool is the laser cutting with the Trumpf machine, which I later did in one made daily by another company. Nice memories of the time. It's a shame that such US trucks can't drive here in Germany, at most standard US trucks without stretch and the conversions. I live out the dream of the trucks in my self-built RC semis. Much success to you and fun at work.

a question about truck engines..out of all the engines which is actually better? caterpillar-detroit or cummins X-15
@SEMICasualShow
3 жыл бұрын
Well that’s a loaded question! It entirely depends on who you ask, engine choices often times are chosen per the application the truck is being used for and also geographic location. Sounds weird that location matters but being close to a dealer that services the engines is something to consider. Personally now a days we prefer the Cummins for power, reliability and there is a lot of options for service work across the country.

Firewall cover grteat idea to clean that stock mess. Some nice simple bead rolling to that flat face would really add some more style. Maybe a Pete oval!
@SEMICasualShow
3 жыл бұрын
That would be really cool, but with this firewall cover we have a few other little things we are doing to it and the metal is probably a little too thick to use a bead roller on. Definitely something we may do in the future. Thanks for the great idea!
