Woah! Never realized you were someone of Filipino heritage. 😮 (Kabayan! 😆 Hello from the Philippines! 👋) I started following your channel because of your "Ryuutama" read-through. 😊 I actually have "Gubat Banwa" myself, but I have yet to dive into it. If you're interested in another TTRPG exploring the Philippine milieu, there's "Balikbayan: Returning Home" by Jamila Nedjadi, which is about engkantos (Philippine elementals) in a spacefaring cyberpunk future attempting to revive magic.

The timestamps were incredibly helpful! I also only learned of this ttrpg recently and I was very disappointed of myself for not knowing about it sooner as a Filipino ttrpg fan, lol. I was very impressed by this book and I'm excited to see what Joaquin Kyle "Makapatag" Saavedra's contribution would be for Pathfinder 2e's lore since he's one of the listed members of the Tian Xia writing team.

shame i missed the stream, but i'm really glad to see people getting into gubat banwa! the k6bd comparisons are definitely warranted, what with all the talk of Violence and Cutting and Royalty, but it also reminds me a lot of Exalted! (also, does anyone else pronounce "gubat banwa" with the same cadence as the mortal kombat intro?)

Hallo! Discovered this super late! Funny thing, my family name has Bulan as a surname (from Cagayan). I have no idea what it means, but it’s funny seeing the Tuig Bulan, without any context, haha. Thanks for covering!
