As others have said, this is part of Queen of the Murder Scene, a concept album which tells the story of a girl who goes from unrequited love to obsession, stalking, murder, and then a battle with her evil side for her soul. By this song, the girl is losing the fight and is considering suicide to take them both out. She is apparently cutting herself, since dull knives only cut better if the goal is to inflict pain.

to better understand the meaning of the lyrics you have to listen to their full album Queen Of The Murder Scene in order and there you will realize how good songwriters they are

These young chicas have a reptutation for being workaholics of a sort because of their high level of passionate dedication to their craft. But by doing what they love, they'll never have to work a day of their lives. 🤩

There is so much to like in this performance (as well the song, band, etc.) and I do really like it as whole. But the bass is what really gets me on this.

Cody, I just discovered these young women this week and I have been down the rabbit hole ever since. I literally did not work all week. I have to say your reactions to their music have been some of the best I've seen. I've subscribed and keep up the great work.

*Dull Knives* is from The Warning's *second album called *Queen of the Murder Scene.* A 13 song concept album. The girls calls it a *rock novel.* Story's line goes a woman loves this man who doesn't know she's alive. It gets darker after Dull Knives. One simple thing moving forward. Don't try to figure out what a Warning song means. Cause they there songs very vague. One person thinks the song is that. When another person thinks the song means this.

They did this performance for the (DE)TOUR Virtual Music Festival back in August 2020, just after being signed to Lava Records. It was an 8 hour live stream event and this song was the only one played twice because of demand. This was when Lzzy Hale either tweeted or posted on the stream that she wants them to tour with her. Jason Flom, Founder and CEO of Lava Records, personally introduced this song on the stream after having just signed them. Watch it again and look for Pau speaking the verses underneath Dany's vocals. If you listen closely you can hear it in the mix. Very creepy.

I am really stoked to think that Lzzy wants them to tour with Halestorm, because that is exactly what I tihnk too, that would be almost my dream gig and the there are a couple of their songs, notably Disciple which really give me Halestorm vibes.

The lyrics to many of their songs are completely out of character for 3 such well-adjusted, cheerful, and normal young ladies. They attribute it to vivid imaginations. Enjoyed your reaction! 👍😎

If you meant that her stare was awkward, then no it wasn't. This song was part of a virtual festival with many big names, Slash, Lzzy Hale, Ringo Starr, so The Warning were performing as if they were for a live crowd.

Hey Cody, So after I recommended the song Narcisista I went back and watched the full concert at El Foro DiDi (see link below) and I was blown away by their performance Pau's especially because she takes lead vocals at the beginning and by the time Narcisista is up we're at one hour and twenty minutes into the show. Let me tell you, the high energy she maintains throughout (before, during and after) is nothing short of mesmerizing. kzitem.info/news/bejne/2oxuzaR_q3uDbKg On a side note I came across them randomly on my feed on Facebook a little over a month ago and I've been hooked ever since it's insane. Thank you for the video!

Great reaction again Cody. Agree with you totally that The Warning are instantly recognisable even when Dany is not singing lead. Try Narcisista or Dust to Dust where Pau the drummer takes on lead vocals whilst drumming.🤘

I think you should know that all of the songs off their QOTMS are somewhat dark. To me, it's the way they're presented that makes this an awesome album. 😁 For my suggestion is their Tedx shows, there are 2, either one will work, but the 2nd is the one that hooked me, give it a 👀.

Thank you for your reaction!. Genuine not overreacting! I do recommend when you have chance to listen to QOMS album (btw nominated for independent awards). Then their concert at Lunario Mexico City. And as already was mentioned: the aprox 20 minutes video at TEDx talk Nevada (if you watch it wait for the blast at the end, pay attention to Pau the drummer). That got me! How articulate, at such young age, in a second language, and emotional and on top of all a rock show!

Great reaction, Cody! This is a very powerful, high-energy song! The song is actually part of a story that comprises their concept album _Queen of the Murder Scene,_ a rock novel that tells a dark and tragic story. It would be best to go through that collection in order, song by song. The tale is told in four three-song chapters, with a Prologue, (thirteen songs in all), that being "Dust to Dust". I would recommend their live performance at Lunario CDMX. Subscribed!

Thx 4 coming back to TW. Subscribed hoping u will do more The Warning. The song is frustrated and angry as a young woman debates with her violent, schizo alter-ego. Al. Part of there 2nd album, a concept story about a young woman in love with a boy who doesn't reciprocate and her decent into madness, murder & death.

LOVE this song! Best 3 minutes in Rock. Start to finish straight up BANGER! And the fact it is the part of the concept album where the main character is contemplating painful suicide makes it that much harder and darker! It's amazing the WALL of sound that only the three of them can project!
