I was going to close the Window when I heard you wake up at 4:30am, although to be honest, waking up early is not a bad idea. It worked for a while for me, but it was easy to deviate back to sleeping late and waking up late. I usually reserve 45 minutes for coffee before work, and then spend some time scheduling the day. I'm thinking that it is probably better to schedule the day - the day before and use the time in the morning for heavier tasks. Having said this, you're an inspiration. I'll be sitting for the SAA soon (maybe in two/three weeks time) and hopefully get into a different role to what I have now. Coincidentally, I was reading about the Well-Architected Tool during my studying today.

There would be times in the year where I'll be waking up very early, and other times where I'll just lazy and want to sleep until 10am.. I think it's cyclical and has to do with the weather or something. Scheduling is my way to go as well. Good luck for the SAA, my friend!

Both showed expertise on their domain. Now I have this pdf files AWS technical essentials student guide version 4.7.18 and this comes with a Lab Guide - but I am kind off not sure if these are still accurate as some services may have change already. I'm using this as my reference as this came free when I attended the aws fundamentals training almost a year ago. I just kind of not able to validate if its still accurate, have gone searching but I always end up to a training class registration. Are you able to advise? Thank you so much.

So from what ive seen in videos, this job is more about talking to clients, finding them a solution, explaining the services to them, and less about deploying and maintaining the services? Sounds the complete opposite of what I expected from working a tech job and not a great career for an introvert. Do you agree?
@WinTheCloud
2 жыл бұрын
This is a customer facing role for sure. But think of it as the coach who even if they don't play in the field anymore, they're the ones who we need to solve problems like: strategy, tactics, planning... I still do a ton of POCs and build MVPs to test technologies, frameworks, libraries, patterns, services (and much more). "Finding a solution" is not as easy as it might seem because desining the right solution, than can scale and that can be maintainable for years to come requires a lot more than just reading a few books/articles. I'm a software developer at heart, but I prefer to coach, mentor & share my failures with upcoming developers rather than just do it myself
