This was seriously one of the best days ever! I have always been fascinated by American History, so my mind was blown seeing all of these places that I’ve always learned and read about in real life. I also really enjoy architecture, and seeing the variety of the buildings here was so cool! I SO underestimated Boston. Its unlike any other city that I’ve been to. Historical sites from the 1600s right next to new sky scrapers is really hard to wrap your head around… Plus, Boston grew organically instead of using a pretty rigid urban plan, so there aren’t the perfect city blocks like you see in NYC or Chicago.
We did the Freedom Trail in reverse, so we did the stops in this order:
Bunker Hill Monument
We added the Engine 50 Firehouse!
Charlestown Naval Shipyard/USS Constitution
Copp’s Hill Burying Ground
Old North Church
Paul Revere House
Faneuil Hall Marketplace
Old State House/Boston Massacre Site
Old South Meeting House
Old Corner Bookstore
Boston Latin School Site
King’s Chapel & King’s Chapel Burying Ground
Granary Burying Ground
Park Street Church
Massachusetts State House
Boston Common
