For folks curious about how they're doing. They live in Austin, TX. Grace is a governance lead at IBM. Ryosuke is a marketing strategist at a company called The Personal Wealth Coach. According to his bio on the company website they have two children now. Looks like they did pretty well for themselves. (Note: This is information Grace and Ryosuke chose to share themselves on public websites. That's why I think it's ok to share here.)

G and R - have a wonderful "next phase of life". Your channel is only one of a handful that I follow and it was your sincere and fresh insight on all your topics that kept me engaged. I really wanted to hear your opinion. The first video I remember finding (via Rachel & Jun) was "Blueberry Hunting". It is sad to see you two go, especially because it hinges on your own criteria regarding offspring appearing on screen. Darn kids. It does sound like you are both refocusing back on more "conventional" work which in itself is an adventure. Good Luck!

I started watching your channel because I had to visit Tokyo last year for work and was clueless what to expect as a foreigner. Your videos gave me some clues and I still remember how I was so inspired by Grace's video wrt job hunting in Japan hence I hit subscribe. I really enjoyed your videos and loved your honesty and down to earth style. The love between you two have also been so inspiring for me. Thank you for teaching me one last thing through your final video - about the love and sacrifices of parents and about sticking with your values even if it meant giving up on something precious to you right now.. It's not easy I believe and I respect you for that. Grace and Ryosuke, my daughter and I have been watching you guys for a couple of years now. I can't thank you both enough for letting us into your lives. My daughter adores Ryosuke's poop hats 🤗. I'm not sure how we found you guys, but we did... hmmm... I'm much older than you two, so I guess I can see this from another perspective. But you two are so young, and you have so much life, love, and memories to make. Being in the public eye in any capacity can be very taxing. And that's just to those, who going in knew this. I could only imagine the burden and cost it'd take to those outside that understanding. Don't get me wrong, I follow a few family vloggers. And while I enjoy watching them, I can also see that it comes at a price. I don't know if you've ever watched Emmymadeinjapan, while she continues to do videos, from the moment she became pregnant, she made it clear that it was NOT about her children. Until they could comprehend, they would remain out of sight. And with the exception of a couple times, where u sorta see them (they are much older now). She's lived up to that. And I commend her and the two of you! I know it's not easy, and it won't be easy... but you guys are no different than us. You are people, and you deserve to live your lives in privacy and peace. And let's be real, YT often anymore seems to be a place for many to be hypercritical of everyone's actions. And personally, just cuz u choose (yes, people! It's a choice on their part) to share ur life. Doesn't mean it gives us the right to judge everything they do. I'm prob gonna run outta room. But we will miss you. Anyone can see that you two have so much luv to give, I just know that you guys will make AMAZING parents!!! Maybe one day you will return, but if not. That's fine too! It's hard, I feel like you've become family, and I hope someway I can make sure u guys are alright. Heck, ur more than welcome to follow me on instagram. I don't really post. Lol... but anyway... much luv and happiness from my family to (the beginning of) yours 😘

I don't usually comment but I cried at work today when I thought of not seeing anymore of your videos. I've been teaching myself Japanese this year and it was neat to learn from someone from my own country (who also shares a love of art!) It's nice to see such a wonderful couple who love life and one another the way you do. I love you guys too and though this and the announcement videos made me sad I will continue to watch your old videos to learn from and remember you. Thank you for all you shared. Hope to see you sometime in the future! ありがとうございます!

Everything's so dramatic. The music, the video footage. Jesus. My heart, can't take it.

Grace and Ryosuke, i just found your videos and have enjoyed them for the last month or so. While I will miss your love and enjoyment of each other and life in general you share with us, your choice and the reason behind it are admirable. It fits perfectly with your respect of others. Thank you and enjoy the next steps you take together.

These daily life episodes always helped me be more productive because you guys were always working or doing something. I will miss you guys and all the awesome food you show us. This honestly feels worse than when I left a lot of friends after high school haha. You two are really good people :) Have a nice life

Wiping the floors builds character, I'll try to convince myself of that. My hubby recently got secular work, and cant be home as much. Consequently, I have to take the garbage out- his ONLY chore. I didnt realize it, but I was bickering out loud as I took the trash out. Loud enough that my neighbor asked what was wrong. I kinda just blurted out "I didnt sign up for this! This was not in my vows!" lol. Now, Im that "crazy" neighbor who rambles to herself.
