Hi Helen, really nice to see you. I think these types of videos are great...so relatable & makes me feel like visiting with a friend. Love the new rug. I hope Rob's appointment goes well with the Cardiologist & he gets some answers. I find our Family Dr doesn't want to answer / address any concerns, just prescribe med's, I hear others say the same. Look forward to your next haul. I so appreciate all the hard work it takes for you to do these videos. Have a really wonderful rest of the week. Thank you so much for sharing, take really good care, stay well. Lots of love Kathy x💛

Hi Helen! So pleased you’re feeling well more yourself now! I completely agree with you about the layout in M&S ……so confusing and frustrating! I do feel for Rob as I have a huge regime of medication I take 5x each day, mostly for my Parkinson’s. What are you doing with her life-threatening or life affecting long-term condition can feel like a very lonely place so I’m really pleased you’ve managed to fix up for Rob to have a chat with somebody who will understand where he’s coming from. Good luck. Xx

Loved the vlog. Having had to deal with the private and nhs sector over the last year I can honestly say if you want personalised service with time spent being able to ask questions etc private is the way to go. Ridiculous but you have to play the game. I’ve waited over 18 months to see a dermatologist only to get a phone call saying can I travel 30 miles to a private clinic and if I couldn’t it would be another 12 months. I go to the appointment after driving for 45 minutes for a 5 minute appointment to be told why I had been referred by the GP, which wasn’t what I thought I was being seen for. Now I have to go to another clinic but it’s ok as I was told I’m in the system now and the wait wont be so long🤪. For some reason it’s very satisfying watching someone do their housework. Hope Rob gets his answers. ❤

Thanks for the video Helen - very interesting-great idea re wax and the sink! Have terribly hard water here in Braintree (Essex) ! I notice your kitchen cabinets are laminated (shiny) . Ours are too and I find them a bugger to keep clean ! We changed the handles recently and that re-vamped them but you know what it’s like - you just push them closed without using the handle - always see lots of finger marks -especially when my partners young grandchild have visited 🙄would love a ‘ clean my cabinet doors video’ to give me some inspiration and ideas as which cleaner works best! Hope Robs appointment goes ok . By the way- tell Hattie it’s Zebra isn’t dead- he’s doing a Star Jump!😂😂 Take care xx

We're fortunate in that, in our neck of the woods, we get to actually see a doctor but I agree with other commenters when they say they get fobbed off with yet more meds! Hubby's got high BP and was told to keep a note of his readings at home for the doctor. He even told him the make of machine to buy! They'll have us doing our own surgery next!!! He finally convinced the doc that his BP meds were making his arrythmia worse. Doc changed the meds. BP and arrhythmia both improved. 😮 Loved the WM rug and the kiddywinkles' paintings are unique. Keep well Helen and look after Rob. If he wants to do housework I wouldnt stand in his way! 😂

I dont say anything as I would never offend him, but it drives me nuts I have to go after him to re-do. First world problem I know.😅 Re Robs medical, go private Helen, no shortcuts when it comes to health. It's sad our health system is so overworked, but going private is the only way. HB Hi. I have a faux slate worktop & black sink but can't polish mine as it's a matt finish. My Dad between 1981 & 2000 had a heart attack, a triple heart by pass, another heart attack & a stent fitted. He was then put on a wonder big combo of drugs. His BP was never high & his cholesterol never high. In fact Mums was higher than Dads. But Dad was on this combo of drugs - prob about 8 per day. It kept him going for years, until the age of 92. Dont mock the drugs. It's what is needed. No one like taking loads, but if its doing the job, don't knock it. I was very poorly with a dreadful chest infection ( I have asthma so not good) I was on 12 tabs a day & commented to my GP who said "But its what's keeping you alive at the moment". So I never fight it now. - if it's needed I take it. I'm sure Robs OK - he's lucky to be alive & really just needs to accept that & take the meds!

We live in Devon and in our seventies so at our age it’s inevitable that bits of us need attention occasionally we’re an elderly community here and it’s worrying that now you can’t just ring a GP and pop in to have a chat to put your mind at rest we’d have to go and sit in A& E for half a day or more never thought I’d say this about the NHS but it’s not good here I used to sing their praises and I worked in our local hospital for years until I retired friends of ours have just had to pay for private surgery or face a two year wait to be seen Grrr anyway that’s my rant of the day I know I speak for thousands of others . My florist told me not to do the pin thing as it can cause bacteria to kill the blooms. However, she did say you should cut the ends at an angle so the stem can take up water better instead of being flat in the container? Seems to work for me!!

I think there are lots of tips, but I like my tulips a bit wild. The interesting thing with tulips is that they start growing again when you put them in water. They will grow another couple of cms. xx

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I love the spring flowers too. Your channel is my absolute favourite, always cheers me up and I really appreciate seeing the clothes on a 'real' person? 💗

I agree about M&S. 😡 Keep taking the tablets Rob. A relative of mine refused to take what he was prescribed and has ended up having a stroke. Getting a private consultation is a great idea. X

I was away for a week on holiday (actually it was a patchwork and quilt workshop) on the isle of Sylt in Northern Germany near the Danish border and I came home last Sunday and I’m so looking forward to catching up with your videos.

Hi Helen, good to see you again and to hear that you and Rob decided on the consultation. There's too much 'one size fits all' with medication and I hope you find a more individualised solution. Re the household tips, it would be useful to see a bio of the products you highlight, including the rugs! X

Helen. They are banking that People will go Private. I understand Rob is the important one. 100%. We must think however of All the People who can’t go Private. We all pay or have paid our National Insurance Stamp! Unfortunately it counts for nothing! It’s not on is it. A Lifetime of paying into the System but when you need they are not there anymore.
