Thats cool. I liked what Joe and Herb did on the album "two for the road" with that tune!

Could you do a lesson on the strum pattern for this song?

Thanks, David. I'm putting it on my list for the near future. It's basically trying to incorporate a "Latin", root/fifth alternating bass along with the chords. Coming up soon, my friend.

@@tomculhane6648 so that means I need to play the minor 7th chord with the 5th not muted. I thought I heard that in there..

@@DavidMoore_drmoorejr Exactly, David. Instead of the familiar grip for, say, Gm7, in which we mute out the fifth string, you'd instead need to play the same chord by barring all the way across the strings so you have both the root (G) and the fifth (D) available. I use a hybrid (pick and fingers right-hand plucking pattern) picking approach -- from there, just keep thinking "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" for that Latin rhythm in the bass. :)

@@tomculhane6648 thanks! I play it in the same key that Cannonball Adderly played it in. kzitem.info/news/bejne/pJmun5V3gaeJZoY . The original recording seems to have a guitar tuning that's a 1/4 tone off.
