the love you and Lizzie give your sheep even when most farmers would deem somtething a not necessary but you do is always such a blessing to watch. Your sheep are really your family. Such a joy as always to watch how you truly care for them. The kids are growing up the way it used to be years ago and will be well rounded confident adults that will have drive to do what they love. Fresh air, dirt, involved in chores and lots of fun is such a blessing to see. What a boy Spot!! He was so eager and happy to go! Cammy haaa if my husband dropped those bales he would not just be like you with oh well because yup stuff happens. We would have had to run for the hills to escape his anger! Nothing you can do really when things go sideways but get a good giggle out of it. And by gosh it will never happen again now will it. And you saved it so all good at the end of the day. You are the epitome of where there is a will there is a way :-) hugs

I was raised in the country. Living off the land, gardens, hunting and fishing. It was such an amazing upbringing. And I regret that it wasn't able to give that to my son growing up. He's such a city boy born and bred but so amazing just like your children. We didn't have large livestock, we had rabbits. We raised them for the products they produced like meat and fur. And when you show your large open green areas it makes me envious and reminds me of my time growing up. We had hundreds of acres of forest surrounding us. And all the fruits of the forest that we lived off of. Such wonderous things we saw from rescuing wounded animals and releasing them to bringing them to the table to provide feast for the holidays to celebrate with friends and family. I was right there with my father as well building sheds, working on tractors, doing the work that needed to be done. Enjoy this time with your children it's over all too soon and they go on to their own lives. I love that you include them in every bit of it from lambing to hooking up the trailers to everything. It's all part of the farming life.
