Just an idea I cleaned from a homeschooling mom. She would take a week off every 6 weeks to ' reset"; that could include getting projects done, shipping, cooking in batches, short trips, organizing, or just sitting one on one with each kids and seeing what was working or not working for them. When I gave myself " permission to take time off to reset I didn't fall behind, I a really gained ground because I could focus better.

Funny is that if you say "widower" on the title of the video you must be trying to pull some strings to get a woman, if you say "single" you must be advertising to get a woman. Either way, people who want to criticize will always find something to cling on to, right? Embrace the compliments and beautiful uplifting comments. The rest is just "noise". Great video, keep on moving forward. 👍

I'm 12 minutes in and my heart feels like a puppet. The tugging of the strings. Tom making sure the bed is perfect. Stroking Edens hair. Tom on his knees outside. I remember being on my knees when I saw my children's father in his casket 18 years ago. Idk that it gets easier. Adjusting to a whole new way of life. Getting unused to what you are used to. Being unable to share the small things the proud moments of the kids. The hugs the laughs the looks the love. What to do with the agony? Where do you put it? So hard to explain the loss. God will see you through it. Our strength comes from him. Love your family God bless.

Mom worked on my schedule with me, by 7th grade I was doing by myself. I could work ahead to be able to have a summer break. My books started coming in units and I could schedule much easier by highschool. Also I love the merit board. Teaches personal responsibility and doesn't let blame on others happen. Not forcing it on them is great, but you give them the option if they want to. I wish the real world worked like that.

You are such a amazing father . I wish my boys dad would have been more invested in our boys life like you are with your beautiful kids. @@pearllarkin3214 That’s the thing he won’t keep a job . I took care of our boys on my own paid for everything. Regardless of that I still tried everything I could to get him to spend time with them . And I didn’t do that for him . I did it for our boys so they had a relationship with him because they love him . And I want my boys to be happy and have both of us . But I couldn’t get him to be in there life . Now tht they are grown he try’s ever so often to spend time with them . But like I said they work go to school have there own life. Plus they are hurt . My one son said now he has time but when we needed him he wasn’t there. I taught my boys how to shave how to fish how to ride a bike. I taught them about girls how to cut grass. Things he should have taught them . So I’m not hard on him at all . I went far and beyond what I should have trying to get him to be in there life.

@@lauramclaine504 It seems like we have been through a lot of the same problems with our x husband’s. It breaks my heart regardless of how o feel about there dad I still fault for them to have a relationship with their dad . They love him so much it hurts to see them hurt . That is the only reason I tried so hard . For them . I didn’t do it for him at all . The few times he would get them . I had to take them to him pick them up and I had to buy food for the weekend that they would stay with him . Because he would always say what food he does have he needs it to last him and his girlfriend so I needed to send food for them . And I would do that just so they could have that time with him . He could have at least feed them while they was there since he didn’t hardly ever pay child support lol. Plus they was his kids also . The only times he would pay child support was when they would take him to court after not paying for a year or more. And they would threaten to lock him up that’s when all the sudden he could pay something smh . But after the boys got older and they started seeing what there dad was doing they act told me mom stop covering for him we know what he’s doing . It broke my heart cause the times he wouldn’t want them to come over I would actually lie to my boys and say your dad has to work. I didn’t want them to hurt . But when they got older and realized they really was hurt and didn’t make time for him no more . Now his girlfriend has left him and he has more time plus there older they can take care of themselves at his house he wants to spend time with them. But they don’t want to spend time with him . And I told him this would happen. Sorry this is so long I just really don’t talk to anyone about this lol and it seemed you have went th what we have went through. So I figured you would understand more then anyone else . Yes I wish my boys had a dad like Tom we need more men like him . If he can work his own business plus take care of all his kids as a single father my x husband should have been able to do the same with our 3 boys.
