Thank you Jonah for joining, to become part of the medical team, who would do unimaginable sacrifices to deliver in person God’s healing. I’m a retired RN also with a sibling who dedicated his whole life delivering anesthesia. The tables turned when my husband had a stroke and we became recipients of medical care and experienced it all. Thank you for answering this calling. The world needs more Jonahs. Praying for your success in the field. God bless your journey!

I've heard that a lot. People don't feel they're smart or ready enough for anesthesia. It is very intense and challenging but that's why the application and screening process is such a big deal. If you (or anyone reading) can make it past all of that then you do have what it takes to make it to the finish line

Thank you for taking the time to create these videos. I’m looking forward to following this path. Just curious ... where you attend do you usually have to make power point presentations to explain topics to the class (like class presentations )? Or it is the teacher/doctor who explains the topics to students. I’d also like to know how many students get admitted in your program. Thank you !!

I’ve only had to prepare a powerpoint to present to the class once so far. I’ll make another one this semester and i might be a TA for anesthesia lab after our incoming class arrives in May. Around 45 students matriculate into the program at this campus each year.

And just curious what other study strategies/resources you’ve found to be very helpful other than notecards (if any) Thank you!!

I had a lot of AP credits on my transcript and it wasn’t a problem. It might depend if you got a 3/4/5 but I’m pretty sure 4s and 5s will be accepted but refer to admissions for the exact policy.

2 questions. How many classes do you have and how often are they a week? Also if I become a CNA in high school and get a job at a hospital, will my hours I get working in high-school be eligible as patient care hours to put on my caa resume?
@jonah.barros
Ай бұрын
@@JacobOlson-im5zd I have most classes once per week plus assigned online lectures or material in between. I think on paper it’s 20+ credit hours. Yes CNA experience early on will help considerably

Demand for anesthesia is expected to continue growing due to an increasing aging population and prevalence of surgery. I expect AA salaries to grow for the foreseeable future Most schools should theoretically accept international prerequisites, but it will depend on a case by case basis. Youll have to contact each ones admissions offices

@@Alex-bh7dq CRNAs politically oppose us but we continue to grow despite that. At systems that employ both AAs and CRNAs, salaries are identical. Also starting salaries are higher. I would consider 160 very low.
