I have no electrician experience and know nothing about the effort it took. But turning that wall of boxy spaghetti into a tidy fuse box was phenomenal, great job.

It's like that so the customer doesn't have to pay an electrician to replace it. Of course electricians would hate it when they don't replace them 😂

The demand is high and supply is low for electricians. 1 in 3000 people are electricians and with the introduction to more electric being used demand is increasing. So yes you could find work bro

How do career changers get in to this profession mate?
@raviparmar189

Best to find a local college that does a level 2 electricians course, takes 1 year full time, 2 years part time. Pass that, then do go join a domestic installer team and learn a bit more then take your level 3, or do another year at college and do level 3. Best and cheapest route in other than as an apprentice

@@raviparmar189 I’m 30 years old and I’ve just applied for a NVQ level 2 part time course in my local college which will start on September 2023. I’m excited and nervous at the same time haha. If you are an electrician do you have any tips or advice on how to be a decent or good electrician?
@raviparmar189
Жыл бұрын
@Intello good luck! You'll be absolutely fine mate don't panic. Some tips are buy good tools straight away from a good brand like CK, they will last you forever and they have lots of little extras, like CK cutters have inbuilt wire strippers and screw shearers built in. Remember to double over your terminations where possible, learn to bend metal conduit and KEEP practicing, it's part of your AM2 and personally one of the harder parts. If it's metal, make sure its earthed. Call things properly, like Live wire is actually all of them, the correct terms are Line, Neutral, CPC... there's loads ha, but just learn the regs and you'll be greag

@@raviparmar189is college a btwet idea tban just heading right into an apprenticeship? I just finished my college for a course i have no interest in and im thinking of becomijg an electrician maybe in a union but im not sure how it works in the uk because all ive seen online is from americans
@raviparmar189

@igee1605 if you're not sure, best to go an be an apprentice otherwise you're stuck on a course, you can leave an apprenticeship anytime if its not for you. But it's a great trade, very different regs to the US so ignore most of the stuff you see lol, don't ever can a live wire "hot" of the cpc "ground" and you'll be great! But I'd go apprenticeship route if I were you. College is better if you know its definitely something you want to do.
