Zions National Park is one of the most beautiful places in the world. With the massive sandstone cliffs that soar into the brilliant blue sky and adventures that cant be beat.
With only one day we had to start out the day super early. With sleepy eyes we started our journey up angles landing. The towering silhouetted walls slowly reveled themselves as the started to rise. We somehow forgot a key piece of equipment for hiking angles landing in the winter. As we made it as far as we could on the ice covers trial the sunrise started to put on a show for us. Slightly bummed we did not make it to the top we started our way down with no plans for the rest of the day.
When we got back to the parking lot we saw a trail that lead to Emerald Pools. We decided to go check it out. As we round a conner and the suns warm rays tingled our skin we saw one of the most beautiful view we have ever seen.
Running on an empty stomach it was time to make some breakfast and enjoy the big walls that encapsulated us.
With our belly full we drove out of the Zion Canyon Scenic Dr and took a left onto Zion Park Blvd. The vastness of the nation park really started the set in. Their was so much to explore that sadly we could not fit into our one day we had in the magical place.
A trad rack short, we deiced to boulder as we enjoyed some snacks.
With an hour before the sunset we raced up the Watchman Trial to catch the sunsetting over the town of Springdale. As the sunset and as the mountains turn back to silhouettes there was only one thing on our mind. Pizza.
