February 13th, 2016 was certainly a cold one. With temperatures only reaching the mid teens, wind chills below zero, and up to 40 mph winds, it was without a doubt one of the coldest days of the winter. However, this did not stop the Strasburg Rail Road from operating their opening day weekend trains, and Train Man Productions was on hand to capture all of the action. Powering these trips was Baldwin 2-10-0 Decapod #90, which was hauling its first trips after a year of shop work. In this video we will see #90 and its train along several different locations on the Strasburg line. As an added bonus, we will witness #90 transition from passenger to freight, as she hauls an empty covered hopper to the Amtrak interchange in Paradise! We would also like to apologize for all the wind noises in this video, as there were gusty winds all throughout the day. So sit back, and enjoy the sights and sounds of steam on a cold, frigid winter's day!
