I went to Disney World probably within 6 months of Alien Encounter being released to the public. At the time I watched the Disney channel and remember seeing the behind the scenes spotlight of this ride. I told my mom, that was the only thing I didn't want to ride but I couldn't remember the name of it. My mom told me something to the extent of... it's not this one. Regardless my mom would have made me anyway because "we drove all this way and bought the tickets- you're riding this!". We did it and I hated it, it was so scary as a 7 year old. Now it's kind of a cool memory.

Na it was fantastic, especially the pre-show. They should have had a cast member outside warning families with young kids, because people don't listen to signs. So, starting by the premise that I do not mean to offend anyone by expressing my opinion, but I really don't agree with this list (except for the last reason). To me this ride is okay. Not bad but not amazing either. I'm a Disneyland Paris annual passholder and we have Stitch Live, which is just as dumb and way more boring (no amazing Stitch animatronic, which I believe deserved to be praised in this video). Still I love going to the main park. I love that huggy joyful Disney feeling it gives you as you enter, because you know that feeling like a kid again is what Disney's Magic Kingdom parks are about. You make goo goo eyes, laugh and cry happy tears and marvel at things the way a kids would. If I knew that such a happy innocent place would host a ride such as ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter, I'd feel unsettled by the sole presence of it and I'd have a very hard time letting loose my inner child, for I'd know the magic of the park would be overshadowed by that only, extremely scary and gory ride. Don't get me wrong, I think Alien Encounter is a brilliant and very thrilling attraction, but to me it doesn't fit in any Magic Kingdom park because of its dark nature. That's exactly what I feel about those horrifyingly disturbing scare mazes at Hong Kong Disneyland too. As for Stitch himself, yeah, he can be an awkward presence at times, I'm slightly annoyed at how he also invaded the Tiki Room at Tokyo, but at least he's a very joyful and energetic character. I believe that, in the ride, he behaved exactly the way he did at the beginning of the movie, when insulting the aliens and tricking the machines before breaking out. Also let's not forget that, in the movie, he was about to blast a frog, punch Nani in the face, he even hit some dude with a beach ball, a dog with a slushie cup and so on. Luckily he wasn't in the mood for doing the same to guests in the ride :)

There was nobody in the queue, so I honestly thought the ride was closed. Then I got home and got into learning about the history of attractions, animatronics, and rides in Disney parks and saw Yesterworld’s video on the ride. I know it wasn’t very popular, but I wish I had gone on the ride, if only to see the incredible animatronics in the ride. Edit: spelling and grammar

I’m going to be honest, the show portion of Stitch’s Great Escape scared me in real life. However though, I loved the preshows, even the second one was my favorite! Because of Skippy and the Donut Guy. If Stitch’s Great Escape was still here, I’d make a few edits. No restraints, add ground lights when the power is cut, like at Tough To Be A Bug, and instead Stitch would steal someone’s churro, and burp the cinnamon in our face instead.

The problem with that is that the show system was designed to be scary, and requires its central character be scary to work effectively. I would say that the city motif of tomorrowland wasn't lost with stitch and the other attractions. They just changed to different places. Minus the last one, those are also things found in a city so I would argue the motif is still there

I never got to experience stitch’s great escape or the one before but I feel like they should create another stitch attraction showing the cute cuddly character that we all love and not the one that they showed. Maybe with us flying through space with him or something :/

At 6:31 when they talked about the Magic Kingdom's new Tomorrowland, yeah it was a inspiration and maybe a copy of what was supposed to be Tomorrowland 2055 for Disneyland that was never built. But at least that inspiration made its way to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. However if you go to the part at 7:05, because Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom changed with attractions that are based on cartoons. The truth is these great cartoons and their characters as well as their worlds, got their basics and Origins from Space Opera, Popserial, 1950s comic book sci-fi Styles and inspired by some of their science fiction Adventures. Like the outer space world of Lilo & Stitch, or just to the character Stitch was inspired by action Space Adventures, maybe Space Opera and extraterrestrial. For Buzz Lightyear's sci-fi world, it was inspired by Space Opera, action space adventures, extraterrestrials, maybe secret agent adventures and more inspiration from superheroes. The world of Monsters Inc was inspired by modern technology, science, extraterrestrials, myths and cryptics. So even those three sci-fi cartoon worlds and Adventures, match and fit for the same style for a Space Opera, pop lserial, 1950s sci-fi comic book style of Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. And if they can add the characters from Star Wars into the area as well, and for its own attraction it would have to be the original Star Tours. The original Star Tours the Ultimate Adventure, featuring all of its droids, including RX-24 (Captain Rex) and of course C-3PO and R2-D2 and the Star Tours package the Endor Express. It could also be possible that it's other simulator rides can be theme and have their own Star Tours flight packages, to Hoth, Tatooine, Dagobah, Yavin and Bespin. If the original Star Tours would return with those new combinations and ideas to Walt Disney World, it would have to be located at the other end of Tomorrowland behind the Carousel of Progress and across the the Magic Kingdom railroad tracks. And the original Star Tours the Ultimate Adventure would serve as a Spaceport hub, for the galaxy far far away, to have those droids, aliens and humanoids to come to Earth into the Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland. Because one thing for sure, the same style it still looks since the 90s in the Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland, Anything is Possible for a sci-fi future like the Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland in Walt Disney World

I remember my mom going on the alien encounter ride when I was younger. She told me about it to try and convince me it was too scary. It only made me want to go on it more. I looked forward to the day I would be big enough to ride. Sadly I never got the chance. I hope it was as scary and awesome as I imagined it to be.

I think there should be a more adult theme park, with scary attractions and insane rides which could include things like what Disney used to have (Alien Encounter). As I am young, I never had the chance to see Alien Encounter, and I find that very sad as it seems like something I’ll never get to experience.. I’d definitely go to a theme park with frightening attractions in it.

"There are many inconsistent's within the story. Like Stitch calling him by the name Lilo gave him. Even before meeting her. And it seems like Disney forgot that the reason we love Stitch is because how he changed throughout the movie." Uh..did we watch the same movie!? ( ͡ಠ ʖ̯ ͡ಠ) Stitch's Great Escape clearly takes place BEFORE he met Lilo. As previously mentioned. You're right about one thing, Stitch calling by his name that Lilo gave him before he met Lilo was a bet convoluted. But at the same time you said the ride wasn't good because he wasn't the Stitch who changed throughout the movie. Again! Even though this ride takes place BEFORE he met Lilo and changed in the movie! In other words, at this point of the movie and ride, Stitch was a wild, crazy, goofball, disgusting party animal! This ride was based off of the Stitch from the beginning of the movie! And hell, even after he met Lilo and changed his ways, Stitch was still a wild animal! Yeah, he was caring, sympathetic & willing to help others. But he still had that wild and hyper and disgusting attitude at times! Which is MY big reason why I loved Stitch! He wasn't your typical nice caring Disney character, but he had that immature crazy side of his! Which I was glad they choice that attitude of Stitch for the ride. Cause...well...THAT'S who Stitch is! I'll admit the chill dog smell was a bit too much, but other than that, a great attraction ride. At least to me. They really need to do another Stitch ride somewhere! Stitch deserves more attention! Seriously, how often have you heard ANYBODY say anything about Stitch? Exactly. Stitch needs to come back! :)

Even though I was still young and have ridden Stitch's Great Escape ride, I would LOVE to have the EXtraterrestrial: Alien Encounter. Such a bold move for Disney to have such a scary ride intended for teens. Plus, it looked cool as hell. A huge juxtaposition from the usually kid-friendly rides nearby. Ah, well. Here's to waiting for the Defunctland project to experience it!

Everyone, I will tell you about stitch (if you don’t know) and what I think about this…..zombie stitch. Stitch is an Experiment created by an evil scientist who eventually gets found be the GF (Galactic Federation) who wants to see how evil Stitch is, of course, he is not called Stitch yet, as he has not met Lilo, but his name before was E.626, and the counciler decides to put the scientist in Jail. As whom you may know, is Jumba,(the evil scientist). The Galactic officers took 626 into a room with these blast machines with white dots on them, they looked as guns, put they were like scanner-guns. 626 dodges all of them when they try and annoy him, that’s when he escaped and made it to the BRB. (“Big.Red.BATTLESHIP!” Yes, thank you Stitch.) or, the MBRB, (Mini Big Red Battleship, as I like to call it.) While Galactic officers chase him through space, he managed to escape and find earth. That’s when he gets ran over by a truck, and gets put in the dog adoption center, where Nani,(Lilo’s big sister) thinks they can get a companion for her, and they thought a dog. That’s when they find Stitch blah blah blah. The ride I have never been to DisneyLand, ever. And I have saw a short, with this…zombie stitch. And, the animatronics AFTER the blue stitch looked, so scary, I didn’t know who leaked those, my brain is thinking someone snuck in there, but I can’t accuse anyone. Well, I saw reviews on how he actually SPAT, smelled like hot dogs??? and he drooled everywhere, i don’t know if he ACTUALLY came up to the guests and just did it in their face, but nothing has gone as far as this, I mean…LOOK AT THE ANIMATRONICS UNDER HIS SKIN, and, I’m very sick right now my head is spinning, I have never heard of this ride ever until now, and…I CAN’T STOP TALKING ABOUT HOW SCARY THE ANIMATRONIC UNDER THE SKIN IS!? But this is from my view, and stay safe have a good day 🥲

As a kid, I LOVED Stitch's Great Escape! I thankfully got to go on it just before it closed down, and it was just as fun and adventurous as I remembered it being as a child. It's not the most well thought out Disney attraction, but I have fond memories of it! Great video, though!

my family and I made the horrible mistake of going on this ride when we were on our first Disney world trip. my dad said that it was like trying to wrestle an amusement park ride while in restraints, but there was a coincidence because at the end, it said to keep an eye out for stitch, and he was just outside the exit when we got off.
