Love all the classic cars that were still on the road in '89. wish it was still like this today!

Most of those cars are junk, though. No one had nice cars in 1989 - most didn't even have basic features like power steering or air conditioning, and you can forget about power windows. Decent cars were available, but people just couldn't afford it at the time. You'll see very few imported cars, as most cars were built in Australia then, by just a handful of manufacturers.

@H HOUR HOTEL Most new cars in 1989 didn't have standard power steering. It was usually an optional extra. It was only standard on Falcon and Commodore, but not most other cars of the era. Air conditioning was also an option on the majority of cars - standard on very few. Same goes for power windows.

@H HOUR HOTEL Wrong. Falcon and Commodore only accounted for 25-30% of car sales. 70-75% of people had a different model.

As someone who grew up in Traralgon but moved away almost 20 years ago, I'd love to see a video of this same trip but taken today, 25 years later. How much has changed? How much still looks the same?

I wonder who had to repaint the plaza, coz it seems that it was whiter back in yee old days... I hope that there was a donut king then, they've been closed for over a week now!
