The logic and math behind this must be astoundingly confounding genius level stuff, compared to faffing around with polygons.

yeah, that's why all those software are made on kernels, that were developed by mathematicians and computer engineers for the last 60 years. No one is doing this from scratch themselves :)

When you need Surface Modeling you need Moi3D, when you only need Solid Modeling you maybe better use plasticity.

@@danholzer4626 Nick talks about it under a video, if I remember. He said surfaces are not the priority now. Considering the development time my guess is that it will have to be at least a year after the official version is released. I suppose it is a lot of work to meet that date as well.

Could I you tell which version have you used here? I`ve tried v0.1.41 and I can`t import STEP or X_T properly. I have empty screen after import from Rhino. Did you have errors like this during testing?

I have v0.1.49 cad export, like step is not possible now in the parasolid version, only the old c3d version can import and export v0.6.30. github.com/nkallen/plasticity/releases

I just try this version, it is an incredible software. Do you know why I can't to see and select vertex? i draw a polyline and then press 1 for vertex mode, but they do not appear.

Plasticity has no surface tool, it's a pur solid tool, Moi3D has both, but the solid tools in Moi3D have not that kind of freedom.
