Cap, you helped me out when I was in a dark place. Know I am here to offer the same. Do what's best for you! Take a break, dial it back, focus on what makes you happy. Maybe cut back on the let's plays so your not over taxed. Focus on the Metal covers and your projects. The internet isn't going anywhere in the foreseeable future.

Thanks, man. I'm glad I was able to help in a difficult time. KZitem was a bit of an escape for me for a while, both as a viewer, and a creator. It's been nice to have been able to do the same for even one other person. I'll still be around. I'm working on little bits here and there, and something will come along sooner or later.

Well, I didn't quite expect this turn of events. I don't think mad dash rushing anything is a good sign either though. I know of channels with 3 members who only produce like 3-4 videos a week, so thought maybe less would help. But now I know that's not the only aspect of it. Sometimes things do need to change. I still hope you can do what you enjoy doing, screw numbers and statistics to hell! I'm horrible at advertising as well, so I get that totally. It has been much quieter & my list not as long lately, but you as a person matter a million times more than anything else! I know what burn out is like to some degree. I hope that you can find a happy environment and do more of what you love soon! Take care man! P.S. I meant to livestream almost 2 months ago and still haven't....look at me go lol

Alas that is the cruelty of KZitem and how it often squashes small creators, sometimes you plumb a niche you didn't mean to and it squashes out the one you wanted. Especially with gaming, unfortunately the richer big youtubers often get to use up community interest in a game by getting them before they're even released, I know I've passed up even big streamers' takes of some games because I already saw another one play it. She's a cruel mistress, KZitem. Hope you can get that passion back, I know how much it can suck to get little feedback on something you're passionate about. But hey, maybe relegating gaming to casual streams for the community might free up some time, take some of that pressure off of the deadlines for metal covers. Take the time to refresh and get that drive back, you make some cool stuff man.

I think taking the gaming over to a streaming platform might ease some of the stress, and taking my time to work on covers, and be proud of what I'm putting out will make a big difference. Time for some quality over quantity. Thank you for all the support you've given over the years. It's been much appreciated.

In a way, I feel kind of responsible; I enjoyed your Star Trek Online content, however I do feel kind of guilty for not watching more of your other gaming stuff. If I had to say why, it'd probably be that I just wasn't really interested in the games you were playing, but even so, the only content I ever suggested to people were your metal covers, STO content and Building the Enterprise series, and for that I feel like I need to apologize. That being said, I do sympathize with your position on where your channel is. I recently finished my first year of college under a game development course, and found it wasn't for me. At this point now having 4 grand to pay back in student loans, I'm unsure of where I want to go from here, so while it's in different aspects of life, I suppose you and I are in the same boat. I wish you luck in getting yourself straightened out and hope you can find something you enjoy through it all. Take care :)

You've no need to feel that way, man. I enjoyed playing a variety of content, cos they were things that piqued my interests, and I thought offering a wider selection of things might provide something for everyone. Not everyone likes the same things, after all. The support you've given over the years has been greatly appreciated, and I'm glad you enjoyed what videos you watched. Yeesh, that's a bugger of a situation to be in, man :/ I hope you find a new direction for yourself, and that it brings you prosperity, and a chance for something new.

I'll miss the ff9 play throughs, but you have to do what's right for you, I do urge you to finish it though even if you don't record it, it's one of my favourite games of all time for a reason 😉 I'll just have to look forward to the metal covers and find something else to watch on a Wednesday afternoon on the tram home 😂 Hope it all works out 🙂

@@CaptainMeatshieldUK cool don't feel pressured for stuff like that though, there's no point playing a game just because you feel like you have to have the content, if you're doing that then you're not really enjoying it which imo defeats the purpose. Where do your alerts come when you're live on twitch? I don't really use it (at all lol) but if i knew when you were on and wasn't busy I'd be interested in seeing some playthroughs on that 🙂 i just don't know how I'll know you're online (i hope that makes sense lol 😂)

I think doing lets plays on live twitch is a good idea. You have several different things you can try, but it seems it would be smart to focus on one or two of them. Honestly, for videogame stuff, it might help if you can network and partner up with someone on that. Game streaming is a very stacked market since most anyone can just start a Twitch channel and what not. You have a lot of other enjoyable stuff people like, though and yes a lot of us did come for the metal covers and other things. That said, maybe your niche is adding more content. Hell, maybe consider doing a cooking show on the side. Or maybe some heavy metal gardening. If you balance out and plan every element, I think you can make something quite successful. But as you have learned, you gotta make time for you. It's not easy to simply live off KZitem. You gotta establish yourself with something(s) that stand out. ANd yes... make sure it's things you love and most importantly, not all of it has to be serious.

Streaming is definitely looking to be the contender for more regular content now. I do have some friends that I'd love to play some dumb shit with, so maybe with less on my schedule I can actually make time for those kinds of games now. I don't know about expanding the variety of my content further, though. While a nice idea, I'd worry I'd get overwhelmed again, and how it'd affect the channel. For now, I'm gonna focus on a few smaller things, and make the most of them.
