I’ve been binge watching your videos lol 😂! You are so encouraging and match my personality. My daughter’s been struggling with spelling. When I started homeschooling I decided to concentrate on subjects she loves and then go back to fill in gaps. Spelling, critical thinking, and writing are the subjects she struggles with the most. I know it’s odd but she can read on a 4th grade level at the age of 8yrs old. I’ve learned her brain just wasn’t ready for certain subjects. When I go back to fill in gaps, she gets it quickly! EVERYTIME she struggles with something, I take that school year to work specifically on that most of the school year. This year we are concentrating on those three subjects. I’ve picked all about spelling level one. My plan is to go slowly and make it fun. I want her to learn the rules so she can spell anything. I’ve worked SO hard with just about every subject making interactive books, rhythms, and silly songs and it’s helped tremendously! I must say I’ve had fun creating things to help her. In math she couldn’t remember the order to count coins. I made up the phrase Quiet Down Now Please for coins. She couldn’t remember quarter pass and quarter to. I made up the phrase pass the candy (raise your right hand) to my mouth (raise your left hand) lol 😂! You’ve given me the reassurance I needed! I thought I wasn’t doing a good job because she’s behind in important areas. I’ve come to realize she’s going to get things when her brain is ready. All I have to do is calm down and be ready to teach it when she’s ready lol 😂. It’s 12am first week of summer and I’m preparing for next year already!

I think this will help my daughter. She's a struggling reader & speller. I still think she's dyslexia, even though she was tested as not.

I have 3 children out of 7 that are profoundly dyslexic. Still not sure about our 7th child because she's still young. It's been one of my HARDEST challenges of Homeschool.
