I don't care what people say about this film. This one scene is a masterpiece. I still get that same feeling I got as a child. You know those feeling you remember but know you will never feel again. It's like a dreamlike emptiness. Praise to the art department and set design. The house is so empty yet full of so much meaning. Almost like a model home. And outside...just nothing...oblivion...like a wasteland. The music just is perfect, what a score! I will always have he image of a mother protecting her son, only to die clutching her chest from a knife wound and dying in what feels like a void. A memory. Breathtaking. A true masterpiece.

"And in that one moment, I took everything that was dear to me and transformed it, into nothing more than a memory." Those were the most powerful words throughout this scene. Just hearing those words as your watching young Bruce with those sad eyes looking at his mom with her hand on her on chest crawling out was really depressing. That's why I say this is the best Hulk movie out of every one because the storyline was magnificent. I can't stand it when certain people say is that they didn't like the CGI into how they made the hulk. Well what more the hell could you expect, that was the technology back then. Hate it or love it but I wish that they would have never replaced Eric Bana. His version and him as a actor alone should have been in the Avengers.

David was obsessed with finding answers to advancement beyond natures intent that he lost his grasp on what life really means. The effort to love and struggle. He loved bruce at the start, and while he was aware that he may have distorted his family dream, it still made him hopeful. He didn't want to believe the extent of his sons tainted DNA. He became desperate trying to overturn his mistake so much and couldnt keep his focus any longer on anything except an end. And when his last hope of taking back his regret was lost, he surrendered his own sense of morality. And was completely willing to destroy everything that tethered his humanity just to save the future from suffering the consequences of his failure... He stopped being Bruce's father that day. And instead became a vengeful world purging maniac, who wanted to use the unintentional mistake of power he gave to his own son to do it.

I have a feeling that this might be based it off of the ultimates, Because David banner creating a genetic bioweapon for the government, Bruce Banner experimenting with Nanites powered by gamma radiation, it all kind of sounds like when Bruce Banner created a very Ethan of the super soldier serum in ultimates. Then again I kind of feel like part of marvel comics good writing comes from the ultimate line as well as newer, Better writers and illustrators for the comics Like Brian Michael Bendis And Mark Millar Who also worked on some of the mainstream comics, the TV series, movies And video games based off of the modern comics and influence the comics even more And maybe just maybe the blade movie all had some part play in the modernization and cinematic storytelling of the modern marvel comics and movies. Either that or the general modernization Of most media in the late 90s and early 2000s

I always found this scene shocking when I watched it as a kid. I still find it shocking but I appreciate what it explores e.g. emotions and relationships (thank goodness it's only a film and not real life too). I just don't understand why there was a green explosion as Bruce's mother ran into the desert. According to the hulk wiki hulk.wikia.com/wiki/Hulk_(2003_film) it's because Bruce trnasformed into the hulk when he was a child and stopped his father from harming him, the green explosion represented his rage and the hulk being released. Still if anyone has their own explanation or the director's intended explanation, that'd be great to hear.

When Ross informs David that he is off the project due to his disregard for protocol, David sets a thirty-minute timer for gamma decontamination.
