I absolutely love my Quadrifoglio. LOL to the start up process😂 It’s not that bad ya’ll haha. Love the discussion about the personality. Its quirks are a positive when compared to the F80 which don’t have enough character and they seem too common (not necessarily bad, I just want something more unique).

Bought a Sport Carbon, black on black and love the style, handling. I'd say full leather is a must. Saw a few and decided I had to look for the Carbon with the adaptive suspension. Also don't like the brake feel at all. Maybe a QV is in the future, but can't justify it. Cheers!

Race mode all day. Its the only mode. Every other mode the car is very limited. Car also has the most grip in race. I have a 2019 and got the higher springs changed to the lower oem 2017 springs under warranty. Transformed the car

I do not have a quad but I do have a 2019 q4 w adapt suspension. I think thebride height was also different. Does it really make that much of a difference?

@user-io4sr7vg1v with the lower oem springs the car is far more planted, less bouncy and overall more comfortable while handling better at the same time. You can tell that the dampers on the car were designed for the original springs, not the higher ones

Had to trade mine in at 140k miles ended up getting a Mazda had my fun miss the car but I did have tons of issue with it after 110k turbo failed engine started knocking did oil changes every 6k maybe just a bad car I had but maybe one day I’ll get one again ! 🙏

I think the reliability, like its german counterparts, comes into question at times from what I've heard from owners. The fact you got 110k miles out of yours before issues is impressive.

@@mccgarage I loved the car man but yea started with major issues to the point where the car became a money pit right around 140k I recommend getting as many warranties as you can and when it’s up, I would definitely trade it in for a new one or just get something different

@@mccgarageGermans (mainly bwm) are still way more reliable than these alfas. You can tell by the crazy price drop these cars have on the second hand market once they reach around 70-80k kms

@@mccgarage Thank you for the video! My first Alfa Romeo was a 1969 Type 105 1750 Spider Veloce (purchased new). My last Alfa is a 2018 Type 952 Giulia Ti Sport Q2 with the Performance Package (mechanical LSD and adaptive suspension) in Trofeo White Tri-Coat metallic. The seats are the ones standard to the QV but with different upholstery covers (in this case, red, perforated leather). [Long story but white is the original and correct German racing color, not silver as many believe.] When starting the car, grip the steering wheel with your 'left' hand and press the start-button with your 'left' thumb. Hold the steering wheel at the bottom (as do the Italians) so as to make fine adjustments as opposed to the top which frequently results in over-corrections. When we Alfisti talk about "the driving experience," we are referencing the idea of "car (and) driver (as if) one." I believe the A-mode is intended for long-distance, interstate travel; the N-mode is for around town in heavy traffic, and the D-mode is for when one is feeling sporty and wants to hone one's driving skills. [Yes, I too drive in D-mode most of the time with the suspension set to firm ... LOL!]. Enjoy your ride!

@@glennlindamood That's why I got a new holdover 2021 in November instead of a new 2022. My other choice was Competizione Rosso Tri-Coat. Both those colors were unavailable in 2022 MY. There was Etna Rosso Tri-Coat offered but they stopped taking additional orders because there was not enough paint due to supply chain issues. One advantage of the white is that the carbon trim is highlighted compared to a car in a darker color. My interior designer friend describes the white as "crispy". You can see different color flakes - blue, pink, etc. - in the paint when it's bright and you look closely. Makes me happy! Cheers!

I am very surprised about your opinion of the brake pedal. I have a 2018 Giulia for my wife and I drive a 2018 QV with Carbon Ceramic (CC) brakes. I have no problem with the brakes. I got used to them quickly. FYI, when friends want to drive my QV, I ask them to use the brakes slowly, at first. They get used to the braking process quckly after that. Is it possible your particular car requires adjustements of the brakes. I find the QV CC brakes are superb. Good luck with your car.

I had a 2019 Giulia before getting the 2021 QV and found the brakes had to modulate when coming to the last 2-3 ft of a full stop. It would be jerky and makes you look like you don't know how to drive to your passengers. Usually, just before fully stopping I will just ease off on the pedal just a touch. This prevents the car from diving at the final stop. I've had BMWs in the past and they have great brake feel. It seems to be less of a problem when I wear Italian shoes with leather soles compared to sneakers - but this could be my imagination. The issue is probably the tuning of the brake-by-wire system. It's my main complaint about this car.

This is now the oldest Giulia Quadrifoglio model series one can buy. Some valid opinions only at the individual level as those opinions are otherwise wrong or unfounded. The new steering wheel is thicker, but not BMW M thick and it's because of ADAS. The new digital instruments make those here immediately prehistoric. Why is the brake pedal like that? To leave computers to provide a powerful system at any speed and especially high speed. Just get used to it and dumb start-up process the driver has. Not attributable to the car.

The Giulia wins easily against the F80 BMW 😉 Even the new M3 wins very narrowly at the Nürburgring against the Giulia - a very, very poor performance by BMW against Alfa Romeo, Alfa Romeo clearly ahead. The F80 is completely destroyed by the Giulia at the Nürburgring. Yes, the Giulia is a premium luxury car that saws the M3 to pieces.

Giulia has better performance than the f80? Yes. Than the g80? No. Also the aim of these two cars is different, they cater to different buyers, that's why the BMW ends up selling way more of these cars. While the Alfa is a more pure driving machine, the bmw is a more of an all rounder, it's not like BMW cant make a car that feels like the Giulia, they just dont want to. Personally i prefer the Giulia, but many car testers miss the point of each car

Alfa romeos are awful. Test drove one and wanted to punch myself in the face because of their cheap quality interiors....all of the buttons and knobs inside the car literally feels so fragile and low quality.

It doesn't feel or look great. The leather dash classes it up greatly. The 2020+ are nicer but still far behind others. It's even behind the Tonale.

Older was better. More raw more noise. I prefer my 18 to the later ones but I do wish it had the Mechanical lsd instead of torque
