Excellent advice most people do not know ….Bugs like dark clothes (red, navy, black, dark gray, dark brown, etc) …. they do not like light colors with white being the color they like least … I find it interesting companies that sell hiking, backpacking fishing clothes love to sell dark clothing…. Another thing I learned fishing 8n the Adirondacks …. …. Smoke cigars ( you do not inhale) … cigar smoke keeps the bugs away from your face

Hi. I'm the owner 😊, and I'm enjoying reading people's comments and replying to some. When I bought this property, it was listed as a hunting camp and the entire interior was unpainted particle board except the bathroom. That was the only room with dry wall and already painted. They had their washing machine in the bathroom near the sink, blocking half of the window. It was way too awkward and crowded so I put it in that other room. Plus it only had a tiny water heater tucked under the stairwell so I also had to relocate that somewhere. That was a bedroom with a giant closet that jutted out into the kitchen. He had a huge fridge next to that, and open cabinets that wrapped around the corner then a half wall that separated the kitchen from living room, and a gas stove and sink that faced the front door. I did what you saw there in the video to open it up. It was extremely dark so I had that sky light put in when the roof was replaced. And YES this truly is great to be away from people and listen to nature 24/7.

@@PeanutsWoods. Dear Madam, I enjoy your property very much, I’m interested. For what you was using this property for ? If I may ask. How are the winters there? How many feet’s of snow have you see? Is your wood stove are enough to keep you warm? The local government keep the roads open in winter? Do you get good amazon or delivery service there? I’m from the Caribbean and looking to get a property in Maine for off grid living…. Thanks
@PeanutsWoods

Just saw your list of questions from the Caribbean.. winter can get pretty brutal sometimes with blizzards that dump a foot to 2 feet of snow. But mostly winter is not too awful. Yes they keep my rd plowed and sanded. No problem getting deliveries here. Wood stove will roast you out and it's excellent to be able to have windows open with fresh air coming in😊 heat pump also heats the house plenty when you don't feel like using the wood. I love here year round and it's really a great place. Only 7 miles from town of milo where you can find anything you need. Takes about 10 min to get to town. These videos are great for people all over having the ability to see them. Thanks for your interest. House needs work but it's well worth fixing up better.

Maine is traditionally empty because of geographic distance, harsh winters and lack of large employers, not flies. With work from home options Maine has certainly seen a huge jump in real estate values, irritating to those of us who have long dreamed of a quiet lake house retreat in retirement!

One question about the utility/power line tract-- is that land leased out to the power company? Or is it their property that fronts the property? If it is included in this property, what rights does the owner have and what rights have been relinquished?
@lifestyleproperties

This is an easement granted to the utility company as indicated in the deed to the property. You will need to consult and attorney for the legal advice as to the extent of property rights retained and relinquished.

Hi. I'm the owner and I haven't wanted to take that dangerous barn down at all because every year wild animals have babies in there. Fox have used it for 2 years now. A wild rabbit had 3 babies in there 4 or 5 years ago plus a ground hog one year. I love my animals and they are wild but all like me. My kitties definitely don't wanna leave this magical property and neither do I. It's all too much for me to keep maintaining and I need to simplify 😪 I've been putting this change off for 4 years .. like way before the market went crazy. That's not at all my reason for selling at this time like many have decided to. Whoever buys this will be amazed at the great energy. Extremely peaceful. I will miss it here for sure!❤
