Ay-up Lucy, nice wee walk that. Liked seeing the old mill and surrounding buildings. I worked in paper mills for years, but most had grown over the years, and now sadly very few remaining in this country. And had to laugh at you speaking to the cows, being a country lad. Imagined them after you left, munching away 'eh, girls, was that the Nott'm lass?'

Ay-up Mike. I hope you're well. I am glad you enjoyed it. Oh wow, what was that like? Must've been an experience! Yeah I love cows so much. They are such inquisitive animals. Yeahh they probably were thinking that! :') Thanks for your comment Mike :D x

I agree! Even worse though when they bag it and fling it into a copse and you end up with poo bags hanging from trees like Christmas baubles! Why even go to the effort of bagging it if that's your game :(

would be far more eco to guide your dog into the shrub to do it's business, away from where people walk and let it be. Is food for insects and plants. people are brain trained and do not think things through. bagging of doggie poo is superb for pavements, roads and parks....but out in the countryside where is no threat and all the wildlife poo freely, the plastic is far more hazardous and can kill wild creatures.

Great video. We have stayed in Tideswell three times in a cottage when we've been away. It's in a good location but next time we are looking at staying in Hayfield to be nearer to other places we haven't discovered yet. Peter's Stone in Cressbrook is amazing for views and not too far walking distance from Tideswell and Litton.

Me and Lauren have actually done this walk and it takes you all the way to Litton via St Peter's Stone and yes, you go past all the 5 valleys. We started from the cottage so it was about 9 miles ish.

Have you checked out Thor's Cave yet Lucy? I think that would be right up your street. Video on my channel if you're interested (among the many others out there I'm sure), not too tough walking from the nearest parking in Wetton. My 5 year old managed it anyway :P We made a circular of it but you could easily just do there and back if you preferred.

We walked there today, all the trees have been chopped down, hundreds of them, no explanation. Trees chopped into wetland habitats and left too. It is total devastation, can’t fine any info on it anywhere.
