I have very fond memories of my time in the military. It was the perfect learning (and growing) needed after high school and before college to put me "on track" in life and teach me some of life's most important lessons that aren't taught in any school (or in the corporate world either).
Seeing this toy was an instant reminder/flashback to Fort Jackson SC in the dead heat of summer, red dirt and fire ants that would tear you up. Loved every minute of it...in hindsight ;-) Maybe not so much as it was happening and I couldn't truly appreciate it.
In any case, this is the coolest toy reminder of a good part of Basic Training and what became second nature weapon platform wise. I'll never forget the nick name the DI's had for the miniscule target @ 400 yards...Ray Charles...because that was nearly impossible to see.
