Is sitting upright in a car on a sunny day the symptom of a new and fearsome disease? The fact that a police department has time to respond to ridiculous calls like this tells me that their budget is hopelessly bloated.

Why would the government have to provide good service? Their income isn’t dependent on the quality of the products or services they provide. Their income is guaranteed by threats of violence and ultimately by order followers with guns that will back up those threats.

Government doesn’t have to provide “good service” but they are required to provide a minimal level of professional and courteous behavior and can be held accountable for violations of those standards.

The funny thing is that these government employees don't really realize that they're being used. Mine just refuses pain meds for well documented malpractice injury and then checks to make sure didnt give me a heart attack before kicking me out with a stern talking to about how addictive my behavior of suffering and slowly dying is. Oh, it gets way worse than that. In Washington, DC, there were tens of thousands of civil service employees who stayed at home for months at full pay and benefits, doing absolutely nothing, especially those in the intelligence agencies (CIA, Homeland Security, DIA, NSA, etc.) who work with classified materials. At least 5 months, some longer. Full pay, zero work. No one else got that deal - just DC taking care of themselves while we pay for it.

The forest service office here in Wyoming is playing the same game. If you need something like a firewood permit where are you paid the federal government for the privilege to go clean out some of the Dead wood from the forest oh, you have to call and leave a message and eventually somebody calls you back and then you make an appointment to go in and pick up your permit at the entryway have the office. Instead of just stopping by and spending 5 minutes to get what you need, you have to start working on the process 3 or 4 days in advance.

I know of a friend that works for a county and she does payroll. There are many county workers that work at her office but since covid started they had people Volunteer to stay home and still get paid. They took so many of them. They were still getting FULL pay. I hate to see people struggle by being out of work but I also hate to see such waste of taxpayer money.

These 2 deputies know every trick in the book. Notice how they didn't proactively provide their names and badge numbers or the incident number until asked. Further, they contrived a slight delay in providing that information. Yet, all that information would be placed in their report that they would write shortly after they broke contact.

It's my property and I don't want people sleeping in the vehicles on it. 1 hour is plenty of time for someone to talk on their phone, Look up directions, stretch their legs. After an hour, without coming into the office, they need to do something besides sit in my parking lot.
