The UK is an embarrassment....I couldn't be more ashamed of being British right now and having to share this country with so many ignorant inhabitants. I can only say sorry to our friends in Europe, there are still 48% of us who wanted to stay....don't forget that :)

Friends in Europe are feeling with you! Whatever comes out with Brexit Britain has to sort out something, this will need a generation. We know this well from German history. We had to sort out a mess after WW2 too. The only difference: The official representatives of the country were not among those ignorants. There are still some others running around in the one or other country within EU. It is a pity that the inspiring spark did not hit UK at all Europe setting up itself different from history to promote peace, freedom and prosperity for all individuals and taking responsibility for neighbors and others in the world. Running away from problems eventually showing up is not a proper way facing into a successful future.

Peter Ebel We have a tabloid media, which has over many years, fed the paranoia and lies about Europe over the years. They have only ever reported the negatives and inspired racism and bigotry. It's mostly read by those who voted Brexit... There is also this 'Island' mentality in this country too, which is a basic fear of any foreigners. You only have to look at our Expats in Spain, who have lived there for years, not learning Spanish, eating British food and not integrating with the community. They only go there for the weather. Believe it or not, they voted Brexit. Now they are complaining that when we leave the EU they will not be able use the free NHS. They should pay the consequence of voting Brexit It's very sad, but it's not representative of everyone in this country, many of us know that we all the same and only a language divides us really

Hello Susan. This has been my experience also, over 36 years (and it's still obvious where I'm from by my accent). The English, the British, are much better than what we see portrayed now. However, even decent people can be misled by propaganda, and the British press has been feeding them lies about the EU for years which the politicians and other 'leaders' have failed to counter. Also, their education system has failed to teach kids how the EU works and the say the UK has in new legislation. This is not their finest hour.

The H in Ahmed is not ‘very light’. English doesn’t have this ‘H’ sound, found in ‘Ahmed’, and so we find the closest to it in our language, which is a ‘k’ or ‘ch’ in German. Arabic speakers do the same with English words.

@@weareallbornmad410 let me cure you of this misunderstanding. I want brexit to: Slow ALL immigration regardless of race. Be more self reliant. To teach the government a lesson on perperation (for what they see as an unfavourable outcome) To force some sort of change in politics. To remove ourselves from the eu and their globalist agenda (not that I don't think parliament has their own, it's just easier to fix with 1 government.) To give a voice to northerners who have been ignored by parliament. To begin widening our horizons on trade. To put our own first before helping others To house our homeless and put less strain on the bus (granted Tories and labour will have to be dismantled and rebuilt with new leaders, like the rest of government) To give our country it's independence (and to be independent) Hope this helped. : ) and feel free to ask questions.
