Hi everyone: One thing I want to clarify: The existence of the Patreon will not change anything about the KZitem channel. I will still continue to post long-form essays here (monetizable or otherwise) at the same pace, covering the same subjects, etc. A thank you is long overdue, but thanks again for everything. It is nice to introduce myself properly and I hope you enjoy this little video. I live in a flightpath, and the edits you see in this video are just me cutting around especially loud planes. Otherwise, this is very much stream-of-consciousness. This is not my typical format, so please watch this video with kindness. Thank you forever

I found your video on the lighthouse keeper in my recommendations when it has just been uploaded. You have since become one of my favourite content creators and I honestly research/listen to your videos to fall asleep. Which is not to say they are boring, it’s actually the opposite, your writing is is engaging and interesting and very relaxing. I’ve since watched all of your uploads (some multiple times) and the fact that they are so consistently entertaining and beautifully written and can make me a chronic insomniac fall asleep quite calmly is a testament to their quality. I really loved your recent one on Madame x. Keep up the amazing work , I adore your videos (as a side note me and my partner will notify one another when you upload, it’s like a little event in our house hold0)

i’m in my late 20’s and followed my passion and went to art school for painting, realized how exhausting that would be to constantly market yourself and switched to art history with the dream in working in a museum which i did for two years and it was an absolute mess. not the case for everyone but for me i stopped loving art and museums and found myself associating my passions with anxiety. i totally switched and went corporate and have never been happier. jobs are jobs at the end of the day, it’s a means to live our lives. find something that you can stand and that lets you explore other aspects of your life and yourself. but remember you can ALWAYS change, you’re not locked in.

Just finished the vid but thanks a lot horses. Came across your channel over the course of a couple months and I enjoy them so much in the sense they give me peace of mind when things are on a constant move and I can’t get a grasp on things. I enjoyed this face reveal/Q&A especially the fact that you discussed about your academia part because I feel you display your thoughts so well that it felt that you graduated from some university with a high degree in creative field or something , gives me inspiration to create because you don’t have some major background in the things you create, you just create to create and I love that, more so when you talked about not looking at the metrics/analytics and just creating what you love because when you focus on these things you always end up in pitfalls because they don’t have authenticity to them and also these things go up and down so much it can destroy your mental. Love you man 🖤

I come from a business background and am just now starting a personaly driven creative project. I only very recently discovered your channel and your exceedingly wonderful and deeply informative content. I have binged your channel now over the past several days, because I'm out of work right now due to an upcoming surgery that will, itself (and the protracted recovery), leave me with very little to do other than learn more about my favorite subject: the world around me and how it works. Not only do you produce some of the most easily accessible content, but your narration and the varied subjects you take on have made me a lifelong, appreciative fan. I admire you very much. Thank you, sir. Best wishes for these upcoming holidays, whether you celebrate them or not. And I wish both you and yours the very best. [edit:] I just finished the entire video and it made me feel good that, though you and I are likely polar opposites on many issues, religion notwithstanding, we can agree that the world is a fascinating place and humans are fascinating creatures. We don't have to agree on everything in order to appreciate and, in some ways you have gifted me a different perspective for which I can never repay, other than to continue watching and appreciating and sharing your stuff. I'm very much looking forward to your religion presentation and I set up notifications so I can see it asap. You're a good guy. Thank you for reading this far.
