I was working as a farrier , at Rosevelt camp back in the mid 70’s . Never got to see more than a small area around Hell Roaring Creek . I’ve enjoyed watching all you videos . This makes me want to come and see more ! Truly a spectacular place on earth .

I love the timeless quality of your wilderness rides. The trails you take through magnificent landscapes and the mix of video & photography make compelling viewing. I'm amazed at how stable the horses are. I suppose some of the excitement is edited out but those trails get really rough and the thunder and all. Beautiful video. What a country!

Thank you for these videos! I traveled that same trail in 1978, going the opposite direction. The first time I shod a horse was at that big campsite where the Thorofare meets the Yellowstone, someone had packed in an anvil and left it there. Wonderful memories! Nothing like a thunderstorm up high. Loved watching you folks throw your hitches, well done on the video production as well!

I thought I knew something about the Yellowstone. I thought it began where the river comes out of the lake at fishing bridge. I didn't know it was also on the south side of the lake too! Now I have a new adventure to go find!

@@cowdogflicks Sadly we are living the 'city life' right now and down to 1 horse. But we're hoping to get another and spend more time in the backcountry one day. My husband grew up in the Cascade Mountains on horseback so it's something we both enjoy and miss!!!

I've lived In CO and WY all my life. I LOVE the west. Worked at Old Faithful Inn the bicentennial year of 1976. The Rockies are INCREDIBLE and your ride through them here was absolutely stunning. Well done sir! Thanks for taking us along.

Simply amazing, I enjoyed it a lot! BTW, can you describe, please, why you don't free up horses as soon as you get to the camp, to give them more time to feed up? It looks like, you were doing it when it gets dark, and through the night. Would they be roaming too far from you during the day light, or something else matters? Thanks!

Thank you for sharing your amazing journey with us! I can recall the ancient feeling of the Yellowstone Park and that was the area the tourists visit. The one thing I noticed about this series is the lack of wildlife. Do you think it's because of the wildfires or because they can hear the mule trains long before you would see any? Thank you so much for posting ;) rides of a lifetime for sure!

Wonderful video, magnificent scenery. Appears the only one doing any real work was the young lady, from leading the pack animals to cooking and setting up camp. The men seem to just sit around doing nothing.

I'm curious. How did the mule, one of you guys was riding, compare to the horses the others rode? Ride comfort? Sure footed on those rocks? and seemed to keep the most energy through the day. Awesome channel by the way!

Thanks for the video. Great pictures of the Thorofare and Younts Peak. I'm a history nut, so I am a fan of the pioneers like Harry Yount. His story would make a good movie. Cooked a steak below the Pinnacles with my grandson and sat there and wondered what was on the other side. Now I know.
