@Beverly Millard Like, you know that even if you delete a posted comment, if it's on a thread I started it still shows up in my alerts, right? Loooool, I'll bet you didn't. Try to stay on topic Bev. How old are you anyways? Twelve?

When she said… “my critically REVIEWED…” instead of “acclaimed” it reminded me of one of the descriptions of Moira as “…a twelve time daytime Emmy awards ATTENDING actress…” - just enough of a twist that it becomes funny. God, this series is funny - I use it as my every-night-before-bed-relaxation-show.

The writers of this show really know how to build up a character. Alexis had opposite of 'good girl' image in the start but her character evolved so much throughout the series....that is called growth....that's what viewers can relate to...and that's why her character was so likeable.....not like many tv shows where the so called good characters end up doing loads of selfish stuff and lose likeability.

the ones who have watched all the six seasons of the show know how far Alexis has grown. That's why the episode where Alexis and Ted decided to break up was the one she got an Emmy for. That performance was gold.

So true. Johnny is probably the least changed of the Roses, in that he seemed to already be quite grounded and loving from the beginning. Moira took the longest in a way, but in the end they all shed the façade of aloofness and snobbery and show that in reality, they’ve all cared for each other deeply the whole time. So much nicer than the bazillion comedies that depend on ongoing mean-spiritedness and jokes at others’ expense to keep the comedy going. (And I say that as a massive Golden Girls fan. I mean, their constant jabs are funny as hell, but if people acted like that in reality, they’d have zero friends.)

I’m not happy either, but it really showed that they both grew from eachother and they loved eachother and knew it wasn’t meant to be. It proves not everybody can get there happy ending.

Me too. I understand why they wrote it like that but her character could have been liberated whilst still being in a loving relationship. I had hoped to see Ted finally propose to Alexis and her accept, like in season 1 because she loves him so much and they would get married for sure. The finale was supposed to be a double wedding for Alexis and David but they wanted to liberate her character. I wish we could have gotten to see that. I wish they could move her forward in her career while still having love.

Aww... they didn’t show her dance 😕 For some reason I wasn’t sure if I liked her until I watched them all in an interview. I saw the real Alexis, and how she got the news that she got the part. She was such a different person and so was Stevie. Now I like her, and like her character so much more.
