Old trailers have nothing to do with it. I used to pull an old trailer and it unloaded faster than my new trailer
@thedirtytrucker9633

A lot of older trailers have smaller doors and no vibrators also guys hauling hard to unload products in ag trailers make it time consuming when unloading. I’d say your older trailer has bigger doors than your new one

@@thedirtytrucker9633 As far as changing horns I would just buy after market train horns and mount to frame or somewhere else. changed out horns once on my Freightliner classic and it was a real pain in the rear. I had to take all of the headliner out of the cab. An old truck like your 359 it might be best and safer to just put all new wiring in for the light though. As far as painting I have done some with just farm tractor paint from Fleet Farm and they turned out ok, just might not have the real luster shine, but they are work trucks not show trucks. As far as good food there is a old truckstop right at the Mn, and Ia. line on highway 63 in Chester, Ia. that has good homemade food. Also a good bar restaraunt about a block down the street from there that has good hamburgers and steaks.
@thedirtytrucker9633

Yeah man. I’m not sure long term but short term is put horns on like it came from the factory and fix the roof caps. There really isn’t any corrosion on it to speak of so I want to leave the paint on the body and frame alone until I get ready for a total redo
