Rollin Thunder was a 72 Dodge Tradesmen van that Jim oldaker used to haul his moto cross bikes across the country to race. In the early 80’s he worked at a custom car and truck shop and decided to build a monster van. It was built on a burnt out military water truck chassis, and the van was mounted using leaf springs to the factory dodge frame to keep it from tearing the body apart. Jim ran this van 85-87 and sold it to someone in Japan. It was later parted out. There was a second rollin Thunder built with his permission but was built from a dodge caravan mini van. There’s since been a modern clone built on a modern monster truck platform which to me is just not the same. Thanks for watching and stay tuned later today for build video part 2.
