When Sara’s touching her dad’s face, he thinks she’s memorizing him by heart, but she already knows him by heart since he’s inside her heart. Besides, Sara makes a commitment to herself to bear anything like a soldier and part of it means having to feel all the feelings, like she does as she watches her dad drive away in his carriage and once it’s gone, she loses it, but he’ll be back again someday.

A girl will probably encounter many boys and men out there and maybe she'll fall in love with one of them and have a boyfriend or a husband but none of them will ever compare to a father's unconditional love. A father is often a girl's very first male encounter after all. 😊💕
