Brilliant! I had a C90 for 17 years. Bought it new in 1990 and deeply regret selling it, it was a wonderful bike. Subscribed.

Don’t forget that the CT90 versions had a dual range gear box. I’ve put mine in low range, first gear and climbed some very steep Jeep trails at up to 12k feet of elevation. Mine also has the elevation correction knob on the carburetor for use above 6k feet.

Lovely cub mate, I'm from the UK too and will soon be taking delivery of a 2018 Cross Cub 110 from Japan! This will be my first cub and my second bike, my first being a 91' Vision Mini, I can't wait to tackle some green lanes and have some big adventures!

Love the c90, for some strange reason those weren't as popular in Germany. So I couldn't find one here when I was looking for one. Ended up buying a successor bike the Honda Innova 125. It's the same CUB design :) Just a little more modern with a disc brake at the front. Anyway, I can't get enough of the C90, it's an iconic bike. Love it. Cheers from Germany

The honda cubs are among the most produced and popular bikes ever made by any one, there is a reason for this: they are reliable. I always wanted a cub, but could never find one. Total bummer! best of luck to you from across the pond!

Some locals up here in the Lakes are apparently tackling the North Coast 500 on C90s… apparently to do it on anything else simply doesn’t offer the same challenge and therefore reward.

I have a 1983 C90 that I ride only when the weather is crap, to spare my best bikes from getting wet and filthy. The engine has now done over 65000 miles. The original cylinder barrel had rusted so much that it developed a hole in the cast-in tube that drains oil from the head back down to the crank case, meaning that oil sprayed everywhere when I started it. When I removed this 65000 mile barrel the piston, bore and rings all still looked perfect. It was a shame to have to scrap the barrel. Luckily I had several spare top ends. I have a shed full of spares to keep it on the road. Back wheels can be a bit weak, I had to replace a back wheel last week after I spotted a broken spoke. If the bike is going to be ridden through the winter, as mine is, the frame needs to be thoroughly protected underneath with copious amounts of underseal to stop it disintegrating due to the salt put on the roads. A badly rotted frame makes the bike beyond repair, unless you can get hold of a brand new aftermarket frame. The same applies to the swinging arm. I once had a rotten swinging arm collapse under me. Not much fun. The rear shock absorbers have been replaced with aftermarket YSS shocks, which are much firmer than standard and stop the bike bouncing from one bump to the next on the bumpy back roads here. My C90 is my winter ride to work bike. They survive massive abuse and neglect if the above precautions are borne in mind.

Nice video. I’ve got an Innova (all except the engine highly modified). 125cc, 4-speed box. But I confess that gear change system isn’t my favourite. Some days I get along with it fine - 175 miles in one day this month - but some days I hate it. Seriously considering the expensive mod to make it a manually operated clutch. Looking for more of you and the Cub. Les

Own the same bike here in cork city, 99 model with 274 miles on the clock. Re registered it from English plates in February 25 years and 2 days from it's first registration in England, it's in mint condition and never even had it's first service, I haven't driven it yet, soon I hope.wherever you go a honda honda cub steals the show. I'll make a video like yours soon. Michael..

I don't think the official Honda importers in the Rep of Ireland (Reg Armstrong) ever listed the C90 for sale. All I've ever seen were UK/NI imports, pity really as they would've sold well. I was a messenger for a Dublin advertising agency in the early 80's and clocked up a bum numbing 26,000 miles on a then new C70 in three years....until someone decided they they should take ownership - never to be seen again 🙁

I am a new subscriber that like to say hi! That is a nice little doitall beast for mature people that have realized that a bike that is fun and practical is better than a fast racer that is cumbersome to drive in everyday traffic and only fun when breaking the law and endangering other people.

i had a C70 which i bought in 1984, it did 30,000 miles before the frame gave up not the engine!, it rotted on the wheel arch and front forks... i sold it to a local dealer for £100 in the mid 90s.. which seemed an ok price at the time but upon reflection was giving it away really as it could have been repaired!

I started riding at the age of 16 back in the 80's; Honda MB50 then a 125 Superdeam. I've owned many sports bikes and large capacity touring bikes but still have a 1983 RD350LC. I don't really get the whole Cub thing; lack of a clutch lever and that design of foot pedal for a gear lever killed it for me I think. I see that it's even got a fuel gauge; not many bikes had that back in the day.

I put a post on a cub owners page and sourced them that way. Some people cut down the original seat and then find a rack, I think they’re common on Asian models.
