Ron Huegli, curator for World of Speed talks us through the 1980 Suzuki RM400. Roger De Coster, The Man, helped champion Suzuki's RM series in the late 70s. The bike was praised for its easy going nature that made it easier to ride than other competing Japanese bikes of the time. As we all know, easier means faster, for most riders at least.
World of Speed's exhibit, MX: The Rise of Motocross, features 13 motorcycles that helped shape the sport of motocross in the United States. The hand-built, limited run, 1966 Matchless G85 Competition Scrambler and the forward thinking 1979 Yamaha YZ250 are just two of the exciting machines we have on display.
